I came into this game with reservations but was pleasantly surprised. The story is extremely engaging, with a deep lore and gorgeously realized world. The choices you make have meaningful impact on the game world and story. NPCs have rich backstories that are very much worth revealing. Combat becomes a bit repetitive, but still feels weighty throughout. The only issues I have with the game are some of the tedious aspects of traversal, limited variety of enemy designs, and the lacking difficulty level. Maybe I did too much grinding and outpaced the difficulty curve, but more varied enemy designs and attack patterns could have made later encounters interesting and challenging. Boss patterns are extremely simplistic, and you will look forward to them just to advance the story, not for a meaningful encounter. Overall, I highly recommend the game, despite its shortcomings.
