I have only finished this game once and it was great

This battlefield is bad. Please don’t buy it.

The first thing that is wrong is the classes are all messed up. The second thing is that this game gets less than 80 fps in game with a 3090 graphics card. The optimization is awful. Performance issues all around with battlefield. You can change your resolution and see no change in fps.

This game is great. I think there could be a better way to get XP other than doing challenges.

Play this. Short main story unless you do all of the side missions etc. Good buy if you can catch it on sale.

Fun game. Hard to fly with keyboard controls. Catch it on sale. Buy a copy for a friend as well.

This game is awesome. It is really demanding performance wise. I have purchased this game a total of 3 times. Once on the 360 during the initial release, and then again on the Xbox One, and then again on PC. I really keep going back to it even if I don’t do anything but drive around see the city. Great game. The online multiplayer isn’t very good IMO, but single player is amazing.

Pros;
Has great potential.
Game looks awesome @ 1440p on an IPS monitor. (See performance issues below)


Cons;
24 hours in and I am beyond bored. But I want to finish the game.
Performance is terrible. They should ask on startup "Would you like to play at 10 or 15 FPS?"
So many planets, but none of them are worth exploring. There should be a way to preview what kind of lifeforms and resources are on a planet before you land there.
The grind is real, for anything.
There is no real questline. You just move closer and closer to the center of the galaxy.
There are black holes that act as shortcuts to get closer to the center of galaxy but you are punished for using them because it spawns you in galaxys that desolate planets with nothing on them.
Space battles suck. They are buggy, and if it bugs out you stay in "combat" with them forever, therefore you cannot boost away or go anyfaster than the normal ship speed out in space.
Did I mention space battles suck? You are forced to fight.
Some items do not stack in your inventory so you must be hours grining units ($) or farm crashed ships for hours on end upgrading one slot at a time for more inventory space.
Game crashes every so often.
The galaxy map is beyond confusing. (This was probably intended, but we are targeting gamers, not NASA.)
The FOV ingame slider is inaccurate, if you want a decent FOV you must edit a file inside your steam folder, and if you increase the FOV too much clipping occurs.

Will update review if performance changes are improved with nvidias promising driver coming sometime next week.

Would I reccommend this game? No. Steam sale only, unless you have money to blow.

Performance issues STILL, matchmaking issues, balance issues. I really liked this game, but lets admit it. It has a lot of problems.
