Not worth it.

The game itself is fine, it's one of the best call of dutys you can play since ages ago, however it still has major issues that prevent it from being worth the time or money.

Zombies feel better than any recent title, however it's just an expansion of previous title at an absurdly high price and it still has many issues of modern cod zombies.

Multiplayer could be fine but SBMM is a thing.

Monetization, even if not as bad as other titles of the franchise, still terrible.
Always online and other similar features are disgusting and will kill this game in the future.
CoD HQ thingy is terrible aswell.

This title could be a 7.5/10 but all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decisions from Activision make it a 3/10 that should be 15 euros at max.

I cba wasting more time writing a review. Just don't buy it. The most important part of the game /the gameplay) is salvagable, but that's not enough to justify the purchase when it sucks so hard in every single aspect.

This is my favorite FromSoftware creation so far, however it's disappointing, unlike the base game, which was way better than expected (overall), even tho I expected a lot. I still prefer Dark Souls 3 bosses.

Cons:

1- There is no multiplayer. I expected them to fix that on the DLC, but it's still dead. The only reason why this game has a multiplayer PvP it's because when they copypasted the code from DS3 to add co-op multiplayer, they forgot to delete the pvp part or they were too lazy to do it. For real, why does FromSoftware hate multiplayer in EldenRing? Dark Souls games have a way better multiplayer. If you want the PvP experience, go back to them.

2- I might be wrong on this, but so far most weapons, spells, weapon arts, armors, etc. I found (which to be honest are like 70% of them, and this includes all the remembrance bosses rewards, yes, both rewards) felt underwhelming. Some are fine, but they added so much content and most of it just feels like a worse version of something in the base game, specially some remembrance rewards. I mean, in the base game the bast majority of remembrance rewards are things you want to use and most of them not only you want to use them but they are quite good (A tier if not better), but most remembrance rewards in the DLC feel pathetic; I would say like 1/3 of the remembrance rewards are not bad, but that doesn't mean they are good either (some are tho).

3- The DLC is huge, and to be fair, even tho it's not as big as the base game (I would say it's like 1/4 in size?), I still feel like it's too much. Usually having more of something you love is better, but at some point you just have too much, and for me the base game already had too much, and the DLC is no strange to make me feel like that. I wish both the base game and the DLC were smaller but even higher quality. I loved exploring both the base game 2 years ago and now the DLC, but I remember that when I was more or less reaching mountaintopof the giants I already just wanted to finish the game, and the DLC made me feel the same despite being way smaller thanks to how complex the layouts of the maps are. For real, I don't need 5 caves that are exactly the same (with a small tweak) in which I will find items that I can acquire an infinite amount already and are indeed early and mid game items. I needed to kill Mogh aka late game enemy before reaching this content, why am I finding trash everywhere? give me real items or just straight up don't create this extra part of the map that lacks value and instead spend that time into making the new content better. I might be wrong since I played it long time ago, but in the Dark Souls DLCs you didn't find trash all the time; every single meter you explred was worth exploring, but inths DLC and in the abse game, most times you explore you feel like a fool, and in the DLC that happens even more. It's possible to make the zones smaller and have more quality. If 5 caves are just a copypaste, fuse them into 2 caves and delete all the filling in both of them, for example. Anyway, will move on from this point because It's a complex topic, but the tldr is that I wish both the base game and the DLC were smaller but with same amount of new content, macking it more dense and a way better experience overall.

4- I get it, it's called "Shadow of the Erdtree" and shadows play a crucial role in the DLC, but why do we not provide the players with a better source of illumination? The lantern was good enough in the base game, because the base game was quite bright even in many underground areas, but in the DLC everything is super dark, and I like the idea, but having a useless lantern it becomes not as enjoyable as it could be. In DS1 there were darker places than this DLC, but you had the Sunlight Maggot to deal with it, and here, to be honest, we lowkey need a Sunlight Maggot. I wouldn't care how the new Sunlight Maggot works or what it requires or anything whatsoever, but I wish there was an equipalent source of light, because for real, the lantern is too bad for it. It's not even like the lack of light affects you in any way like it did in DS1 by making zones easier/harder, no, it's not a game design decision with a thought process behind, it's just that they did a darker place and they didn't think about perhaps upgrading the light sources so even tho it conveys the atmospheric feeling of darkness, it's not obnoxious whenever you are exploring. Just a quality of life feature that was needed.

(Will not make a list of pros because it would be too long and cba)

It's true that it's harder (specially if you refuse to use the tools that the game provides you, but that's your choice and you are the one to blame). Each time I talked with my friends, I did indeed talk about how hard it is, but it's not unfair (well some things are indeed unfair, but 95% things aren't), it's not so hard that people will never be able to beat it, it's just a step above Elden Ring and many more above Dark Souls difficulty, but still clearly doable; the problem is that people came into the DLC expecting a difficulty level of let's say when you start Elden Ring, and they found a difficulty level of trying to kill Malenia while under leveled and not using all the tools at their disposal. I indeed came into the DLC expecting a difficulty comparision between it and the base game of a similar power to DS3 vs DLC1 vs DLC2, but that wasn't the case, because the gap in difficulty is way higher, and for a big part of the DLC it's mainly a stat-checking problem rather than skill-gap. Anyway, I could talk for hours about how I felt the difficulty in the DLC from start to finish and how it sometimes felt easy and sometimes felt extremely hard borderline impossible because of how they increased the difficulty (which in my opinion isn't a bad way of increasing the difficulty, indeed I can't think of a better way, but still feels weird even if perhaps it's the best option) and and how that isn't a good reason to give it a bad review, specially when you are deciding to cry about it rather than git gud aka learn how the buffs work, learn the patterns, perhaps change build, craft items that will help you, use summons, or whatever you require to beat the game (I indeed used the mimic tear against some bosses to learn their patterns and try to find openings, before beating them 1 on 1 later, for example, also had to change my build fully for a few bosses even tho I didn't respec, had to learn how the buff systems work in the game, had to stop using whatever armor looked cool and use the best ones, had to stop using whatever random crystal tear I was using and start caring about when and why I used each ones and which were the best for each situation, had to stop using always same talismans and change them depending on situation, in conclusion had to learn to minmax the game to have a better chance, and even tho I prefer the straight forward approach I used in previous games (and ER base game except like 2 fights) of "take cool weapon, make build that fits it, beat every boss without changing build much just enjoying it while rolling/parrying", it wasn't that bad learning the game better and using those small edges the game provide for you to git gud).

Messmer and Bayle are my fav DLC bosses.

Best game to play with friends BY FAR.

The grinding is not residentsleeper, the random issues on missions make the game even more interesting, the hard it gets to master it makes the game even better.

It's everything so nice, idk.

PS: Playing solo also makes you feel really nice, however the friendly bots are kinda trash... The only thing missing to make the game even better would be a way of editing your friendly bots equipment.

I love that this game is getting new content every year despite of being a 2013 game. Ty Overkill <3.

Yes.

The game itself + the promises were pretty interesting and nice, but not enought people bought it so now the game sucks :)

The mod tools suck, the lack of content is just insulting, etc. etc.

it could be the best DoW, but it's trash instead yikes

The best Monster Hunter.

Kids play dauntless, gods play MHW.

PS: Only drawbacks are the lack of Leviathans and Estrellians.

I wish they do a MHW2 with all good stuff missing from MHO and other ones...

Thanks for not making me buy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console to play this game I love so much.

Really nice game at a really nice price. Just take it and play a bit :D

Seriously, support indie developers who worth it so they can bring us more OP games like this cutie.

I only recommend you this game if you never played the original one on console/on PC+dsfix.

If you played DS1 with all DLCs before, don't waste your money with this remaser, cuz it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ remaster.

Probably the worst remaster ever done, but the game itself is a god-tier one.

Top 10 best games ever.

Sadly they did a few balancing changes which were questionable at best. The game was like that for so many years, and it's a pve game, why nerf cool interactions and whatever just cuz of a dlc? If you didn't touch it for half a decade, why waste your time changing it to make it less fun? I miss being able to break runs by understanding game mechanics and using the brain a bit.

That was not a good decision.

Anyway, stil 1 of the best games ever, but sad that they did this lil ♥♥♥♥ up (which is compensated by how good the game is)
