Short, Sweet, Scenic and Swashbuckling!

A great metroidvania with plenty of sequence breaking but the controls could've been tighter.

The game is at its worst when it tries hard to be a generic open world game by including crafting, hunting animals, bad stealth, bandit camps and dialogue trees. Unfortunately that is a large enough chunk of the game that I cannot recommend buying it when it's not on sale.


The game is at its best when it embraces its uniqueness - FIghts with Robot animals and the setting in general. It's a shame that this is buried in the trappings of a modern AAA game.

It's a long linear FPS filled with variety and interesting puzzles.

It's a mindless game that works perfectly as white noise.

Great set pieces and a fun couch co-op game. Open World is decent too.

Generic Rockstar Bloat

It does some have some unwanted frustrations that old games have (not being able to change difficulty mid game, progress is not saved till the end of missions etc) but the port is serviceable and the game is fun once you get the hang of it. The HD definitely adds to making the graphics from 2005 more presentable.

It's the perfect background game for when you are listening to podcasts because it is very mindless, repetitive and predictable.

Very padded out and slow paced. Too many cutscenes.
