Possibly one of the Best Multiplayer Video Games I have ever played.

1. I Enjoy the stompiness of the Mechs.

2. I quite like theory crafting potential weapon combos for mechs.

3. While I wouldn't call the playstyle varied, I do enjoy being able to run like Speedy Gonzales one match and stomp around like a, well, a battlemech in another.

4. Game rewards teamplay, destroying an assault mech as a swarm of light mechs is extremely satisfying

5. The currency model is very fair and buying new mechs hasn't been a problem, even without considering the amount of freebies they give out during the events.

It has been a very long time since I last played this game. YT randomly recommended some of the OST to me and hearing the music bought back memories of playing this game to me.

This game is utterly fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say about this. I enjoy the missions, the music, the characters and the environments. The sound and visual effects are satisfactory.

I think you should play this for the campaign alone.

and then theres the mods that extend the gameplay to infinity.

Puzzles are annoying as heck.

The game has a some radical changes from EA to full release that affected how well the game could have been
but i don't want to get into that now.

I think the game is just fine.

The combat and movement are fun and fluid. There are a large variety of weapons and most of them have tons of mods so you can choose your playstyle as you please. There is a stealth system but its barebones and I don't think you'll get much use out of it.

Human enemy variety is fine too. Nothing to write home about.

I haven't reached the Swarm bits yet so i won't talk about that.

What i think knocks it out of the park is the potential for worldbuilding. I quite like the world the devs have built. Many times, i'll be flying from one island to another and see a giant space beetle in the background and think, " what is it doing there? is it some kind of insect god that just exists in this world and does its own thing while the humans are no better than ants to it?". and other times you will see one of these giant insects enslaved by humans, tearing away at stone, possibly mining it. all this makes me want to know more about this world and play in it.

I think the devs have a solid base off of which to make their 2nd game should they so choose.

Edit: I finished the game. I think i like it very much. I enjoyed the protagonists journey and the world continues to be compelling. Get it i think. You will have a good time for sure.

Brought this because this was on sale. I like it very much. I will inevitably compare it to siege a bit here and there.

- I like the limited resources mechanic. Makes you really pick your battles and choose when to commit.

- It requires quite a bit of communication. A few matches, we had a veteran on our team who ended up guiding the rest of us. We won most of those matches.

- the defenders have a LOT of places to hide and ambush the attackers. I also like how the kit is asymmetric.

- I like how you can loot the losing side for a small boost the next match.

- gun play is adequate, but it lacks a bit if an oomph. Feels more like I'm using non lethal weapons rather than live ones

Short Review:
I'll add to this as i play the game*

1. I think its really fun. People who enjoyed CoP will enjoy this for sure. Definitely not as difficult as gamma or anomaly and neither as customization rich.

1.1 The exploration is awesome. Theres a lot of cool stuff almost everywhere ive visited. The map is (mostly) clear and the only things lacking are location markers, so if you can see some thing on the map and think its interesting, it probably is.

1.2 protip: if you come across a random body in any swamp or reeds, theres a bloodsucker near by. or worse.

2. Guns feel good to use. Shotguns feel meaty and punchy. The AS Val is my favourite. Just found a unique RPK with 500 round magazine. Gonna shred some bandits with it.

3. The Mutants feel a little off. Flesh's charge at you for sure this time. they dont run away at the last second like they did in CoP. Poltergeists seem to throw stuff at you as long as youre in their 'radius' and your actual movement seems to have no bearing on if they detect you.

4. The quests are fun too. theres random side activities thatll pop up only when you run close to them. a freedomer in cordon asked me to listen to his friends ♥♥♥♥♥ about stuff and gave me a stash location. these may or may not be marked.

4.1 some unmarked random activities involve you saving people from an enemy faction or just coming across random standoffs.

5. Cannot comment on graphical issues. the game runs fine for me, no crashes or bugs so far. I have only a 4060 and playing everything on medium. The game still looks very pretty.

6. There are bugs, only one game breaking one ive found involving a major quest in zalissya. managed to complete it successfully with a little help from the discussion forum and console commands,

Overall, loving the game so far. I think its a must buy especially once they fix the bugs and Alife.

The music alone makes this worth getting.

Plays similarly to pokemon but looks and sounds better.

The world and characters are varied and interesting.

All its missing is the ability to romance characters.
