For such a well put-together mod, dignified enough to be it's own game... I'm surprised it's not talked about more, especially considering they hand it out for free. The ending, withholding any spoilers, is open-ended to allow for an Entropy: Zero 3. Some may find this dissatisfying as I did, craving more of an epilogue or proper ending to the narrative. You are left with questions unanswered, which was the whole purpose of your journey. To continue pushing a narrative you must keep a purpose, so it is fair if they plan to further expand on the series. Where the game was held down in writing, it was pushed forward in gameplay. I have to give this team the credit they deserve, this was well-worth my 7 hours. I enjoyed my playthrough, mainly the combat sequences and fast-paced HL2 running gunplay.

Here's some more in-depth from my point of view on the game, so take it with a grain of salt:
The gunplay is definitely an improvement on HL2, feels much more modern and is paced somewhat differently. All-around I enjoyed it a lot, though the weapon switching in the first chapter is sluggish. I played with the "MMOD Weapons Redux" mod as I prefer the audio/animation changes. This does not change the gunplay, however, which was done fantastically by the EZ2 team. The only real gripe I could have is that the AR2 spray feels... unbalanced? Sometimes you can pinpoint tap-fire, but at other times you'll have a shots fly off in a random direction. It didn't make the weapon bad or unusuable, but it was strange.
I'll also note the kick under gunplay, the kick is a very good mechanic. It's much more balanced than some of those mods that have tried integrating it before. It's a relief to not have to swap to your crowbar to break open a crate and get back to action.

Graphically, for a source game, it holds up rather well. I was able to keep vsync up almost at all times on maxed graphics, and the game nailed the style pretty damn well, so there's a good balance between performance and visual fidelity. There were only a few minor clipping errors that did not impact my gameplay, and all of the xen and aperture assets meshed extremely well into the rest of the game.

I did not have to look up a walkthrough for any section, though I did have to reload a save once due to a glitch. These things happen, and I would honestly fault the engine rather than the devs for that. Most of the puzzles were straightforward, and I had no problem traversing the levels, aside from one vent that I absolutely could not enter on the first 10 tries. The box under it was just under the height needed, and the game didn't seem to understand this.

One negative point is that the 'nightvision' effect is rather harsh. I understand, I infinitely understand the complaints about the flashlight in HL2. However, putting an atrocious filter so heavily over the nightvision+flashlight was too much. I enjoy that it allows you to see dark areas unlit by your main light, but I couldn't stand to keep the nightvision on for long. Some areas were too bright for nightvision but too dim for seeing normally, which, again, would not have been a problem without such a strong red filter.

It'll only get a brief mention, but it does deserve a mention: the soundtrack is very good. It's befitting of a Half-Life 2-esque game, and sounded amazing. Undertones of the soundtrack reminded me of HL2's own OST, I wouldn't even be surprised if some of it was sampled to be re-used in a unique way. Bravo. While writing, I am listening to the OST separately on youtube, as I enjoyed it that much. It tied many of the fights together, and the audioscape of a game truly matters.

All in all, if you're looking for a good Half-Life 2 mod that stands on it's own legs, you'd likely enjoy Entropy: Zero 2.
It has well-paced fights and action, the gunplay is good, and it tries not to have too much downtime. However, if you're looking for that in specific, play on the highest difficulty. The game was just too easy on normal; most enemies died in only a tenth of your magazine each. The writing does not carry this game into being an immersive storytelling experience, though. Some sequences are unbelievably staged and feel forced, and drags down the adrenaline of chasing. As much as I enjoyed Wilson I felt that Aiden got annoying with cliche hollywood quips. Through that, however, I still felt I had more fun playing this game than not. That's the point of a recommendation, I think. I would play it again, or tell myself to play it a first time.
If you're on the fence, I hope this recommendation was thorough enough to convince you into giving it a try. It's free, anyway. I'd hope to see more from this team in the future.

A puzzle game done right. It doesn't seem like it gets any new levels anymore, but it has its money's worth of content to play through. The style is great, it's audioscape is nice (for such a simple puzzle game,) and it has no real issues, except maybe your eyes burning if you play it for too long.

100% recommend, wholesome, simple puzzle game.

THE GAME IS DEAD, NO ACTIVE PLAYERBASE OR DEVELOPERS. (Battle Royale game with no players is physically unplayable)
Some of the ideas of this game were initially very interesting. It posed as a slightly more unique battle royale, and thus encouraged me to try it. Unfortunately, it often ended up being "let me suck off my twitch streamer pal" with the in-game control system, and very quickly this became repetitive, unfair, and boring. Good ideas, horrible execution.

The game is dead now, so none of this is important. Avoid, maybe someone else will do it better.
