Early Access Review
Subnautica 2 : Captivating, Terrifying, and Barely Scratching the SurfaceScore (Early Access): 7.5/10.The highly anticipated plunge back into the terrifying depths of an alien ocean is finally here. Subnautica 2 safely steers the franchise back to its deep-sea roots, wisely abandoning the divisive land-focused experimentation of Below Zero. Right out of the gate, the game feels incredibly polished for an Early Access build. The atmosphere is as suffocatingly tense as ever, the sound design of the looming sea predators will give you nightmares, and the introduction of simple, seamless co-op multiplayer makes exploring the dark abysses with a friend a blast. Base building has also received a massive overhaul, moving away from rigid grids toward a much more fluid, customizable "drag-and-reshape" room system. The Catch: The water is still pretty shallow. While the foundations are rock solid, you will hit the literal borders of the map and the end of the available story content in a handful of hours. The map currently feels a bit compressed and "stacked" rather than organically flowing, and the survival loop can feel a bit too easy for hardened veterans of the first game. It's a fantastic starter course that proves Unknown Worlds still knows how to deliver deep-sea dread—just be prepared for the fact that the full meal is still cooking.

Forza Horizon 6: A Spectacular, Familiar Joyride
Score: 8.5/10

PlayGround Games has returned to the driver’s seat, and they brought a monster of a game with them. Forza Horizon 6 represents peak graphical fidelity—it is, bar none, one of the most stunning racing titles ever created. Every drop of rain catching the neon glare of the city streets feels meticulously rendered, and the map design beautifully balances tight, technical asphalt routes with wide-open, chaotic off-road playgrounds.

The big headline this year is the return to a more structured, "wristband-style" progression. It tries its best to inject a sense of a legitimate career mode back into the festival, restricting your access to high-end hypercars until you’ve actually earned your stripes. It’s a very welcome change from the "here are 50 supercars in your first hour" approach of the last entry.

The Catch: While the physics feel a bit tighter and the progression holds your hand less, the "Horizon Festival" vibe is starting to feel a little too familiar. The forced, overly enthusiastic dialogue from the NPCs remains cringeworthy, and if you’ve played the last two entries, the actual moment-to-moment racing loop won't offer many major surprises. But as a pure arcade-racing sandbox? It remains entirely unmatched.
