Peak gaming

FromSoftware took everything people enjoyed from the Souls-like games over the years and made the perfect game with Elden Ring! Combat, progression, quest-lines, and characters, everything flows so well with one another. This is the closest to a 10/10 I've seen from a modern game.

I can only speak for MY experience so if others are having issues please do not ignore their review and just accept mine as truth. I have played for about 5 hours already on and off while I work and the game has been great for a casual experience. I have ran into very bugs, it feels a lot like the original just a lot more appealing to the eyes. I know once they can get a few patches out this will be a great time for anyone who picks it up. I've been waiting to replay the series for when a remaster or at the least a re-texture to come out. The workshop adds a lot of opportunity I am curious to see what that leads to later on in the release.

The game is more addicting than the drugs it's based off of 100/10

This game has been in my library on multiple consoles & Steam for so long I can't remember buying it, finally got around to it considering The Witcher 4 is on the horizon. The game is easily in my top 5 franchises and games I've played, the story telling, characters, and world building are incredible. I ran into very few bugs, the game ran very well throughout the story without interrupting immersion.

I'll start off with stating the obvious, yes the game has stuttering issues in certain areas with large amounts of things to load especially the towns will lots of quests. This is to be expected, a lot of games have a tough launch but this is far from that. There are a few bugs but the game is very much NOT broken and is so incredible. Yes the game requires a decent PC to play but soon that will be fixed once more patches roll out.

Now that I've stated all criticism I can get into the part I truly feel matters, the good (or I should say great) parts. The world is beyond immersive and every interaction feels real and not forced like some Bethesda games (not all). The anomalies look incredible and make you want to touch it DO NOT TOUCH IT. The campaign only 5 hours in has me hooked and this game actually has side quests that make me really want to do them and not see them as tedious. The storms, foliage, caves, almost everything about the landscape is very well crafted. On top of all of this the game is being created inside an active war-zone and these devs have put so much passion into this game they truly deserve the best outcome.

Thank you GSC Game World for all of your love and care that you put into this game and the community, all technical issues aside this game is really well crafted. 8.5/10 on Launch, possible 9.3/10 after a few patches roll out!

only reason I got it was for H2M and now Activision has given the modders a cease and desist.
