While I have loved and played this game a long time, the Mirage update worries me, as it is clearly dumbed down & way too easy, and quite frankly, it is boring, I am barely through the bit where Dialla in the mines opens up the two portals to Kaom & the other one ... but honestly, I am so bored out of my mind I do not think I will continue to play this update ... the whole point of the game has been the fact that it is challenging, and if they are going to dumb it down to the lowest common denominator like so many other games do, I fail to see the point of it. I hope this is a temporary error of judgement.

If you have never played this game before, it has been around many years, and I did play it briefly many years ago, and here is what I can tell you coming back to play it again after that absence - they have utterly failed to recognise and get rid of major flaws in the game design, and these flaws can potentially make your game playing a misery, and for something with so much potential, it is a massive disappointment - do not waste your money, perhaps play the free version, but you will get bored and frustrated quickly with the many causes of time wasting in this game, especially as a new player. Further note: the tutorials do not in the least way prepare you to play the game successfully, they leave many extremely important questions unanswered, and unless you actually enjoy going to websites and wasting more time reading stuff they haven't bothered putting into those tutorials - which can be difficult because you don't even necessarily know what you're searching for - then, you're not going to have a good time. I wish they understood what they're doing wrong, but there's a very good bunch of reasons why, after all these years, there's only about 14,000 players on the server (at most), while other games have tens or hundreds of thousands of players. I regret wasting any money on it.

It's a great game and fun to revisit, however my one complaint is that in the remaking of the game, it seems they haven't spent any time at all ironing out any of the old bugs and flaws in the original game, and they're all still there ... I had forgotten about them as it had been a long time since I played the original, but revisiting the game, all the frustrations of those bugs and flaws came back to me ... I wish they would make the effort to actually fix these things, if for no other reason than pride of good code and gameplay, but given the fact it cost money to upgrade to this special edition, I don't think it's too much to ask that they actually make it special by removing said bugs and flaws.

The one thing I cannot stand about bot matches is when bots on your team just stand somewhere doing absolutely nothing for most of the game ... who coded that crud?
