If you're looking to get into the Tales series, this is probably the absolute best starting point. Absolutely gorgeous, super fun and actually quite fast paced, Arise absolutely blows so many of the previous entries out of the water for just overall quality.

It has it's flaws, I do think gald being a permanent issue for the entire game is kinda weird, as well as a bit of dipping into writing clichés here and there during the story, but that doesn't ever really detract from the full experience.

All the characters have their own interesting and unique styles to play, and are always fun to find new ways to play them.

Anyway, Hootle is the best non-Rinwell character in this game and I will not be taking arguments against this. Thank you

Not counting Hades for beating it out on story and another few elements here and there,
This is without question the single best roguelike you are ever going to play on this platform.
By far the most enjoyable gameplay variety, unique enemies and levels, on top of the fact that we're going to have large content updates coming in the future.

Get this game.

This has taken a lot of elements I really enjoy from stuff like Slay the Spire and One Step from Eden and built on them in really cool ways. If you're down for a weird creature-summoning, 3 floor layout fight deckbuilder, give this a shot

This is my favorite VN of all time. I cannot recommend it enough.

This is the roguelike card game I never knew I wanted.
I can run this game over and over and over again and I'm STILL never going to get tired of it!

(for real though, ♥♥♥♥ act 2 elites)

act 2 is way better now tho
