I've put well over 500 hours into the PS5 version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and after recently deciding to give the PC version a try, I can honestly say it feels even better to play.

The gameplay is still some of the smoothest and most satisfying I've ever experienced. Whether you're sneaking through enemy outposts, calling in supply drops, or approaching missions however you want, everything feels incredibly responsive. The freedom the game gives you is something very few stealth games have managed to match.

On PC, the game feels fantastic, especially with the added precision of mouse and keyboard or the flexibility to use a controller. One thing I highly recommend is uncapping the frame rate. By default, the game is locked to 60 FPS, but removing that cap makes the experience feel even smoother if your hardware can handle it.

What impresses me the most is just how well this game has aged. Even though it's been out for a bit over 11 years, it still looks, plays, and feels like something that could have released around 2020. The visuals hold up incredibly well, the controls are still top-tier, and the gameplay loop remains as addictive as ever.

If you've never played Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, you're missing one of the greatest stealth-action games ever made. And if you're returning to it on PC like I did, you're in for an even smoother experience.
