Some of the walking simulator sections are slow and boring and a little frustrating but the combat becomes really engaging and the story kept me playing the entire game in one sitting. senua's got to be one of my favorite characters ever, and her struggle with mental illness really spoke to me. definitely pick it up if the trailers interest you

don't do laso it'll ruin it for you

I so, so wanted to recommend this game. The original Dawn of War is what got me into the RTS genre, and the sequel, though different, has an addictive gameplay loop and satisfying progression. Ten years after Dawn of War 2, you'd think the game would have improved, but no. On the technical side the game tends to stutter, animations look awkward, and loading hangs are atrocious. On the gameplay side, they seem to have gone full MOBA. I wouldn't mind more skills and micromanaging if it were actually fun or compelling. If you're really curious as a fan, try it out, but if you don't get into it by the end of the second chapter, return it like me.

Any fan of the original or anyone looking to get into the series ought to pick this one up. Its the original but with better controls, bonus content, and clear graphics basically. Nuff said.
