this game is long and ambitious. there is always a city for every part, including the side stories. kinda wish akiyama got his own side story instead of nothing. kinda hate how foot grabbing is no longer an ability that everyone has. It is also annoying how guard breaking has to be unlocked for every character, making the early chapters of each part frustrating, especially any mob leader that block almost all of your attacks. the new character fighting style is kind of sluggish and slow, but he is meant to be good at weapons, hence why he is the only person to obtain sturdy weapons through his side story, which was kinda easy and short tbh.
this game felt super long, but i finally completed it, and i gotta say it probably is my second favorite yakuza game out there.

basically 3 but improved, saejima combat is a bit repetitive but man does his attacks feel powerful. Akiyama was pretty fun to play. Tanimura's parrying mechanic was pretty interesting. Overall combat was pretty good. But the story is a mess. There is just so many twists and turn in the story that you think you might be getting dizzy. Some of these twists even hurt the story. Overall, it is still another solid entry in the series.

might be the most basic game in the series so far (makes sense considering its only the third mainline game in the series) transitioning from kiwami 2 to 3 was rough, and it (probably) needed a kiwami version of it. it still is a rather solid entry, and the soundtrack is pretty good too. story wise, it was rather inconsequential. most of it was just kiryu being a dad and stuff. even if its basically filler, it feels nice to take a break from the story always being about some huge conspiracy and whatnot. overall, good stuff, even with the weaker gameplay compared to 0/k1. (still better than k2's combat...)

Game honestly looks pretty at times, but the combat and xp system is kind of weird, especially food, where you could max out kiryu not even halfway through the game. Story was alright, found the parts with ryuji more engaging than the jingweon mafia stuff. overall, it is pretty alright
