People often wonder what they would do if they could go back in time; where they would go and who would they interact with.



Not me. This game has assured that.

I would go back with a list. A list of all the ♥♥♥♥ I should never have paid money for.

This is at the top.

This shows the divide between reviewers and players.

Totalbiscuit has nothing but distain for this game, and yet the vast majority of players enjoy it.

Approaching this game from the point of technical capability is never going to shine it in a good light. It's technically competent is about the best I could say of it in that regard. Yet 'biscuit whines on and on about aspects that only matter if you review a game with a checklist mentality.

For me, in playing this, the magic is there. This is the closest I have played to the tabletop game, and it already has a place in my gaming heart.

I think they have the foundations here for something big if they stick at it. Improvements and race add-ons would make this huge.

I don't know if they can though. They were allowed a specific scenareo which involves the races they used. How they would be able to get more I do not know. I guess GW would have to allow it, but they seem as stiff on that as they are liberal with their license giveaways. I know, it's a paradox and no mistake.

This is the nuts. It's smoother, better and cheaper (or free to previous owners) than the previous game. I can easily recommend this as the seminal smash-em-up driving experiance.

Do you lack patience?

Do everyday tasks - such as vacuming the home - begin to annoy if they take longer than ten minutes to perform?

Then this game is not for you!

So many downvotes based only on the walk speed...it *is* a lousy-slow walk speed...and yet, a superlative experiance. Worth downvoting for the lack of a 'jog' option? Jog on, ADHD's.

At last I can play.

This is a great game, but I have had to request a refund as it is too scary for me to play. That should be taken as a sign of quality that the game does what it sets out to do. Don't buy if you are the kind of person, like me, who only plays Seven Days to Die with walking zombies and maximum advantages for the player.

I put half an hour into this and it was so intense, I was getting chest pains. Seriously. Guess I wont be getting the Friday 13th game when it comes out.

All credit to the studio though for a genuine horror experiance. Thanks, devs.

This is RimWorld-Lite with a pretty good tech tree. The upgrades can be difficult to get, and the system is somewhat obscure. In order to get the upgrade you want to make something, you need to HAVE some of that stuff already! To be able to mine, for example, to get metal, you have to first have some metal to unlock mining! It's like that for a number of upgrades.

To get the stuff for unlocks, you need to travel to a location and scavange what you need. Combat will take place there, and you get the items if you kill the enemies. Then you automatically go back to base and if you have the right ingreedients, you can then upgrade.

Combat is the weakest part of the game right now. It's pretty watery, with no options apart from movement and a base attack. Hopefully the combat will be upgraded in the future.

Some of the tech tree isn't ready yet, no worries, you get a good idea of what's coming.

As well as crafting upgrades, there is magic. So far the magic that I've unlocked just lets me make it rain, grow trees and get other mundane resorces. There is a spell I've just unlocked that apparently lets you find survivors, but I haven't seen any options to be able to use that so far.


Your base will get invaded with increasing frequency by creatures of increasing difficulty. If you don't keep up by training your peeps and giving them better weapons, plus getting other survivors to join, you *will* die. This IMHO could do with toning down, but Early Access.

I would say keep an eye on it and see how it goes. They have a great framework here, and it is very playable so far, but if you already have Rimworld then there really isn't much here right now to differentiate this game from that.
