This is one of the greatest puzzle games I have ever played.

I recently started playing through The Room series as I've had the first Room game in my Steam library for years but never got around to finishing it. After playing the first game, I fell in love with the series, from its unique puzzle concepts to the eerie atmosphere, which remind me of different escape rooms. When the series took a more narrative-oriented turn in The Room 3, I was expecting the puzzles to suffer from it, but after playing this entry, I was pleasantly surprised.
The Room 4 has some of the most interesting and satisfying puzzles in the entire series, all set in a beautifully unique setting while telling an incredible story throughout.

A super promising title! I bought this because I saw a YouTuber I regularly watch, Aliensrock, play a few rounds of it, and thought the game looked simple enough to be easy to get into, but complex enough to have a fair challenge to it.
Each run is fairly short, you can go from the start of Area 1 to the final boss in about an hour of playtime, but that hour is full of on-the-fly decision making, beautifully chaotic stage layouts, mesmerising orb combos and incredibly charming spritework!
My only complaint with the game is that, after 3 hours of clocked playtime, I feel like I've seen most of what the game has to offer, which is a shame. Of course, there are orb and relic combos I haven't tried yet, there are stage layouts I haven't seen, but I feel like the main reason so many indie roguelikes fail is because of a lack of variety, and I really don't want to see this game fail. The game is still only in Early Access, so I'm excited to see what crazy new orbs and relics the devs add to the game!

Brilliant game, plot great, puzzles difficult, but puzzles start to drop off and become more plot-based by around Chapter 8 or 9.
