I really wanted to like this game but more i played the more boring it become. Roguelite should be entartaining enough to let you play again and again. But here almost all levels look almost the same, weapons are weak and weapon upgrades are quite bad (+1-4 to damage, yeah great) which make later enemies and bosses a chore(too much hp).
Character upgrades are mostly based on more rng so instead get something fun you get chance to get something. (Mostly something weak or useless). Survival rooms(red bar) are badly designed(almost no option to heal, too many enemies, small room with elements that you can stuck on, and all are almost the same). Jumping puzzles rooms are high risk low reward so you start avoiding them.
And there is no option to save mid level or even on exit, so if you don't have time it's not worth it.

This game sucks, The gimmic behind it doesn't work. It's quite fun for first 4 levels but then it becomes maddening mess. The concept work for first few levels where there is few enemies but when it start throwing at you multiple enemies, where you need to remember which weapon works on which enemy, then what combo works on which enemy, when enemies have lot of hp and you do not have option to upgrade weapon, to generate health or armor while fighting and it, restrict you to small arenas it becomes almost impossible and not fun.
Cherry on top is bug that doesn't allow you to properly rebind buttons.(it add new function instead of replacing it.

Early Access Review
For now it's not worth it, upgrades are boring and slow, difficult level ramp to fast comparing to upgrades. There is only one boss on all level types. There are only 3 "quest". Weapons that shoot only in one direction are useles. If you dont get damage upgrades you can basically give up an don't bother with run.

This is the worst piece of Dark Souls series. DLC feels even shorter that Ashes of Ariandel, enemies ae either bad gimmics(kill only with plunging attack) or bad copies (ringed knight are shi... version of Soul of Cinder.
Respawning sumoners make exploration quite annoying, spawning from the floor enemies are just bad and angels are just lazy design.
And then bosses, one is copy of armor boss from the base game, Gael is rabid Artorias with f... 15000hp(when you hit for about 200). It's not that bad but it's quite boring.
Dragon Midir is probably the worst boss in entire DS series. How this fight looks: you get to a boss, you run, if you have luck you hit him once and then he fly away so you run again, so he fly away again so you run again, then he attack and you die.
Even if you manage to avoid his attacks most of the time you will be running.
I gave up on this bull... because it was not fun.

This DLC doubles down on faults of base game, levels are incredible boring, basic enemies have ton of health and hit hard.
One boss have three phases with 3rd impossible to tank. Second boss it's another reskin of big dog boss fight.(or rat)
Dissapointing.
Oh and quest with painter give you literally nothing.

Wow, that was not enjoyable, it's not DS game it Ambush game with huge health pools. Levels are really bad, it always feels like you are in hallway and never allow in "house". Enemies lack of creativity, in most cases they just hit harder and have much more HP to the point of absurd, where you need to hit 3-5 time with BKS normal basic enemy.
And that is problem of the entire game, it was made for try hards that cry that DS is to easy and to many people menage to finish it. Now almost every single common enemy have too much health and have some nasty attack that render armor and shield quite useless. Enemies gank you hard because scripts turn them on even when they shouldn't hear or see you.
It makes exploration a chore because with so many enemies, with so much hp there is ambush on every corner, you see one enemy, you can be sure there are 3, you see no one, someone probably will spawn or sits on wall or roof waiting to attack it's tiresome.
And now bosses, they are 3 types: 1. laughable, 2. kill you instantly 3. bull... using faulty game designs.
I will write only about 3rd one, in game where camera works really bad they make bosses that use that against you, bosses act really quick, can jump really high or are really big which brokes camera angle making sometimes impossible to see what's happening and then you get hit in the back. Or you need to fight with weird perspective where you are sure you are close enought but miss and miss again, of course boss have just absurd range so it's not problem for him. Sometimes also they hit you in perfect nanosecond when you get up, making it impossible to react.
I have beaten Soul of Cinder but I gave up on Nameless King, camera in the first phase literally doesn't work and second phase is to fast to tank with shield. Plus none of resistance items worked on his attacks so he chipped health with every hit.(full Havel is worthless)

Dark Souls is masterpiece, it had some problems but overall it's one of those games that you curse while you playing and praise when you finish it.
Why negative score, because f... Anor Londo archers. They had oportunity to change that part in remaster and did nothing. It's stupid, it's not fun, it's too far from bonfire and it's responsible for too much deaths.
Plus it's still quite buggy.

Fantastic little experience with mediocre ending. Graphic is simple but nice. Dialogs are masterpiece, they are really natural and life like, you feel like you taking part in some movie. Voice acting is top notch.

It's better and worse at the same time than Doom 2016. Levels and plot in 2016 seems to be more solid, more life like. Weapons , ammo look more normal and jumping puzzle feel more natural.
Eternal levels feel more like just arena levels without real purpose, Weapons when you find them look like from some arcade game. And plot seem to be badly cut. It breaks immersion.
But the gameplay in Eternal is godlike. When you learn all the tricks you become unstoppable machine running on metal and blood of the demons.
Game has some problems but overall is awesome.

Really fun game, perfect combination of exploration and puzzles. Nice graphics and enjoyable enviroments. The only flaw for me is that it's quite short.
