The game is getting more hate than it deserves. It's not the worst thing ever created, sure it has it's flaws like the extremely high price and the story having it's issues but I found it fun nonetheless.
If you can, give it a shot, though I agree with others that you should wait for a discount.

Very great remake with only small flaws that the original did better, but nothing terrible.
100% recommended for any Dead Space fan. Even recommended for someone who's not, it's simply great.

Didn't figure out how parrying works until the second last boss fight.
The stun is annoying. I have PTSD of Monkey enemy.
