10/10 GOTY

[Almost 100% completion update]

8/10.

There are some really excellent aspects to this game: it's absolutely beautiful, the cut scenes and animations are top tier, the core gameplay loop is very satisfying, the story and characters are great fun. I stand by my initial rating if you're only looking to "win" the game, the downsides are more related to longer term play

There are also some areas that need some serious improvement:
- Harvesting and planting needs an automation. Later in the game when your fish needs are mostly met by your fish farm and you're just skipping time to grow your crops, you'll quickly grow tired of the farming process
- Why can you only increment seed purchases by 1? If there was an option to increment by 10 that would be really appreciated
- Sea People farm seems like kinda dead content. It's just so out of the way and inconvenient to visit in the late game, and doesn't really give anything worth enough to justify it
- GYAO! is some content that should have stayed in the brainstorming session. Because it has an achievement attached this was close to docking a half point from the total game score
- Harpoon gun feels like it needs another level of base damage upgrade. Especially when you're jumping straight to the glacial area you end up having to follow fish around hitting them 5 times
- It would be nice to see weapon stats without having already crafted the preceding weapon

8/10 Quick rounds and very easy to sink time into

I'm not particularly fond of having to buy bank spaces since my preferred play style is "a little of everything all at the same time" and that really doesn't mesh well with limited space. Other than that this game is an idle masterpiece. There's so much content to enjoy. 13/10

It's RuneScape, except far closer to how it should be. 11/10 will steal your life from you

Update: devs have really been cooking with recent updates, League V is great too

I'm finding the mouse locking when dragging to view the map really annoying, and the lack of menu options such as resolution and volume sliders is annoying.
For people with more than one monitor you should be wary that the game does not lock your cursor to the window, so you can and will end up clicking on unrelated windows.
Other than these gripes it's still the game that we know and love, and I'm going on a massive nostalgia trip so I'm going to give this a positive review, and my issues with the game in its current state shouldn't be too much of an ask to add.

It's a pity that buying the game is like playing the "will it work" lottery because so many people are missing out on what is a spectacular game.
Yes, the bikes are absolute trash and the person that thought they were fine should be fired
Yes, liberating towns is repetitive, and the entire game can be condensed into "blow these things up" or "drive to here" but that's not the point. It's a massive sandbox that is genuinely fun to play in and I can see myself dumping several hundred hours into this game.
I've got a 4690K and a GTX 970 and I get a steady 60fps on the highest settings with occasional drops when ♥♥♥♥ gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

So I had some work to do, but instead of that I spent 10 hours watching my oil rig count down

10/10 will end up homeless

CS:GO has been a good game, and maybe it will be a good game again at some point in the future, but at this point every update just makes the game worse. It feels like the updates are just some joke with no thought given to balance at all.
