Good game! Decent metroidvania with flawed 'souls' influence.
If I to make one complain then it would be about bosses - they are way too easy, they are slow with massive windups before most of the attacks, but with all that their damage in most cases are nothing to be worry about it. I do believe people behind the game recognized that problem closer at some point of development they began adding 'stages' to bosses - which is again plain underwhelming as it basically refills boss' health bar and add few attacks that boss might use few times before going down again.

I generally enjoyed the game, story was usual '♥♥♥♥ got cursed, everyone is dead', music was there and gameplay was chill and relaxing to complement world explorations for many side-quests you can do. It is sure good pick if you enjoy metroidvanias and\or action-platformers in general.

Decent roguelike. I liked the style and i liked some of the mechanics,
Whats lacking tho is content and balance.
Game is short. Depend on how good you are you can breeze through first half of the content. Second half of the game is not that challenging as it just boost in numbers of damage you take and amount of HP monsters has.
When you start to understand how to stack certain affixes to get your build going, combining that with some of the game mechanic that allows you to disable ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapons - oh boy! On top of that if your reaction is somewhat decent you literally can tank through nearly everything, if you ran out of stamina you can always parry without any cooldown. Even if you missed huge time window to parry and took a hit you can still parry the next hit as if that was nothing. So most of the time you just looking at those huge windups some bosses do that can either one-shot you or bit a huge chunk of your health off.

Will probably buy dlc/play again after big update. My only wish they would rework balance/combat mechanics to add some more depth to it, rather than be glorified one-shot fest.

Fun little game that is just satisfying to play. Great soundtrack, solid sprite work, feels-good gunplay with some customization and very decent level variety. This is sure little gem of a game than went under radar of most people.
P.S: Game is easy, finished it on normal like no-sweat at all. Would recommend bumping up the difficulty even for the first time.

The Gem of the dead genre.
Personally I would say first game has more content than this one (as of version 1.2), but still - if you played through first game and need more - grab this one it is still eye-pleasing, music kicking, old-school shoot'em up.

Brings me back to the time when I was playing 3d platformers on N64 and later on GameCube. We didn't get Mario Odyssey on PC but I'm sure lots of people will say that Hat In Time is even better.
Great game!

It's as good as it could get.
Solid control, expansive enemy roster, all-round line up of weaponry, stylish design, great soundtrack, and more! Three episodes, each with own style and level design. Skill based arena multiplayer. Secrets and Easter eggs. A giant flop for a story. - this is everything you could ever wanted from shooter game in 90s done today.

Put your headphones, stack up on boomer juice, lock up doors, and go and have as much fun as you had 25 years ago.

No. Just. No.

TLDR: Game originally meant to be mobile game and at some point someone decided to turn it into console game and later port it to PC. This is only excuse I can get behid.

Gameplay is not polished enough, extremely repetitive, and has literally nothing you havent seen in games like Diablo2 or Sacred Gold all those ears ago....yea, not even Diablo 3 at launch.

Melee classes struggling though being stun-locked. Ranged classes goes through "roll-shoot-roll-shoot" gameplay.
Loot and items you get has no impact in the gameplay aside from increasing numbes that pops up in your character screen. "Armor sets" is laughable at best.
The only good thing I can say is that games run perfectly fine and supports 21:9 outta box. No graphic settings tho.
