Early Access Review
If you're looking for an interesting, single-player experience then I would recommend this game. Right now, the characters are classless, allowing you to choose weapon and armor combinations that interest you. In the future they plan to introduce a class-based system that looks intriguing. Only time will tell if it works out.

However, if you're looking for a game to play with friends, NRftW is not it. The multiplayer system they've tacked on is clunky and frustrating for even just a two-player game (I can't imagine how slow and frustrating it would be with 3 or 4 players.) The main issues are in the distribution and sharing of loot, quest rewards and experience. Also, there's an annoying, forced friendly-fire system that acts only as an inconvenience and impediment to fun, instead of enhancing it.

Play by yourself, or not at all.

Well, Sony has backed off its nefarious plans to make us slaves on PSN. That's great, because this game is FANTASTIC FUN, and I would have hated uninstalling it. So download Helldivers 2 and help spread Liberty throughout the galaxy!

Plus we might need your help should Sony try to pull any shenanigans in the future.

This game is one of the ultimate come-back kids of our time. Gotta give mad props to Sean Murray and the Hello Games team for sticking with this game and building it into an amazing exploration/building experience. The state of the game, today, makes it plain that this is their passion project, and they have gone above and beyond to deliver on the promises they made throughout development.

If you like uncovering the mysteries of the universe while surviving harsh climes and building amazing bases, and commanding fleets of spaceships, this is the game for you!

This game is very relaxing (when you're not swimming around dangerous fauna or if you're not thalassophobic.) It really scratches the exploration itch and isn't overbearing by trying to hold your hand or guide you from Point A to Point B. The base building is pretty satisfying and it's fun to build yourself a home on an alien planet. If you liked the first one, you'll feel right at home with Below Zero, and if you haven't played the first one, you won't feel that you're missing anything.

The only downside is that the replayability factor is probably low for most people.
