It's a shame that the game is shutting down, it had a lot of potential. I stopped playing the game after Harvester Command was removed, since that was the most fun gamemode for me. Never played the BR mode, and Heart of the hives just felt too slow.

This game launched without a lot of basic features (no text and/or voice chat). With only 1 map, which got a bit repetitive. The map also felt a bit too big for HotH, there was almost no action in that mode. Farming that much for levels is just not all that fun.

I'd still say the game left an overall positive impression on me, and it's sad that they have to shut the game down. I will miss you Bugg.

Soulless game

It's a really good game and it's free.

The game is in EARLY ACCESS, it won't work properly, they will update and optimize it as time goes on. The game is F2P as well so no harm in trying it out and seeing if the core gameplay appeals to you. I feel the game has a lot of potential IF they can update regulary at good speed.

I really liked the asthetic of the game as well.

It's a really good game, the story is good, gameplay is nice as well. It lacks a singleplayer dlc, with how well GTA 4's DLCs were done I was really expecting some good story dlc for this game. Imo GTA Online really ruined the game with how much they're trying to push shark cards, you can't even access all online DLC in the story. The GTA Online grind is absolute bs as well, I understand that there should be some grind to be able to access high end stuff but the grinding in GTA O is too much, everything is so ridiculously overpriced to push for shark cards.


The Story
We get the unique experience of playing as 3 different characters, Micheal, Trevor & Franklin. As the story progresses we see how they end up becoming friends and working together as a crew in various heists while also learning about their pasts. We also get side missions known as 'Strangers and Freaks', these missions introduce us to old acquaintances of the 3 protagonists or just random people. I generally get bored of side missions in games but these were very well done, they had their own small story line to keep you hooked and were a nice "break" from the main story. Random events happening around los santos add to the immersion of an open world game and can sometimes help with the main story.

After Story
This is one thing the game lacks, there isn't much to do after you've finished the game, assuming you've played the side missions along with playing the main story you wouldn't have a lot to do apart from just getting 100%, collecting collectibles isn't really all that fun to me, though the street races were cool and the parachuting was also not bad. The game's really missing a dlc, they could have shown us the past of our characters or something, a lot of missed opportunities, to top that off, you can't even access all the cool online dlc in the story mode. The 100% "reward" was also not that satisfying, so much more could have been done but eh whatever.

Online
GTA Online can be a very fun experience with friends, it can get tiring solo since all you have to do is grind, the grind is absolutely ridiculous, I understand that high end items do need to have some value to them and they should require some grinding but this much? Almost everything is extremely pricey and only worth going for if you're really dedicated. This is why I recommened playing with friends, you won't get people who don't know what they're doing, you'll have good comms etc which will help you finish missions and heists without randoms screwing it up constantly.

Conclusion
I played the game when it first came out on the 360 and bought it again on PC to experience the story once more, it's honestly worth the story experience, for now I would only buy this game when it's on sale (Goes on sale pretty regularly) since I only recommened buying this for the story.
