Best ruler/realm sim/strategy on the market. But beware, if you want to enjoy it to the fullest you got to get all the major content DLCs, music and cosmetics just for extra flavor.

2 years later update - ok, they finally decided to pick up a pace with updates, probably due to player numbers plummeting drastically. I've got mixed feelings about a new map. It's something refreshing but I feel like their resources could have been used elsewhere f.e. survival mechanics.

Ok, survival. Damn I wish they implemented more of features like complex medicine (injuries, diseases) and ways of tending to those. More emphasis on hunting and foraging rather than visitng towns for few cans of peaches.

And here we come to another survival related aspect: looting town and cities. These should be swarming with zombies which seems obvious contrary to woods and remote areas. A trip to city should be either a team effort or stealthy approach (if going solo) with high risk/high rewards.

All in all I still enjoy coming back to Chernarus/Livonia from time to time but nowhere near as much as I did back in the days when the game was being actively developed. I still hope it will actually deliver it's full potential one day and I will see this great universe thrive again. Don't ♥♥♥♥ it up Bohemia. Don't try to turn it into PUBG on oversized map.

For now it still stays negative with a spark of hope.

Great game, all that I enjoy is here: survival, zombies, crafting, basebuilding.

If only devs actually cared more about multiplayer experince so I could set up my own multiplayer/co-op game with my mate without being computer science magician or just paying extra to rent a server...

If they actually fix those issues, this gonna be the game to play for years.

Got the game pretty much right after the release and loved it so much. Then people slowly figured out those accelerated no-animation hits and mad 2 hander swings. This was the moment when the game lost it's charm completely, cuz there's no fun either playing against exploiters or joining the party and usings those exploits to gain unfair advantage over the opponents. Came back 1 year later after I picked Deadliest Warrior DLC on sale just to realize how the game became infested with those exploiters. Also amazing how devs refused to even try to adress those issues and announced them as part of the game legitimate mechanics (!). Dead game to me and I recommend to avoid it unless you gain pleasure from being humiliated by exploiters.

Great game after long day at work/school. Short campaign and sometimes quite repetitive but still worth few euros just for the sake of brainless mayhem. It's a shame the devs are censoring the workshop, I was really looking forward to play Rapefugee Crowd Control mod.
