Fun fights and high difficulty. However the constant performance issues, especially during boss fights and the design decision to have you find 50(+25) items to decrease the difficulty are problematic. It makes you feel like you should be putting off the bosses for later until you get stronger - it almost seems like artificial play-time padding. In previous Souls games, you could beat any boss in a reasonable timeframe after you first see them. It really doesn't feel like that in this DLC, as the difference between 0 and 20 of the leveling system multiplies damage by almost 3 and reduces damage taken by ~70%.

Over all, I won't be replaying the DLC unless it's a 0 scadutree level challenge run. That's what swayed me to put not recommended as review. It's honestly one of the weaker DLCs of the Souls-Series, however previous DLCs were usually of amazing quality and had the most memorable bosses.

Most enemies in this DLC are sadly a repeat from the base game and some of the original enemies are just slightly move-swapped versions. The boss fights are the true highlight and offer some innovation and awesome visuals, both in scenery and their attacks (if your framerate stays consistent).

Paradox used to be a beacon of creativity and fun among games companies. Ever since going public in 2016, however, things have changed. Avoid this publishing company, they are just about increasing shareholder revenue with your cash these days.

Don't believe me? Here's what one of their board members stated:
"We want to make really great games for our fans, and we can't do that if we don't charge something for the development". He considers a pricetag of ~200 Euros for Stellaris or ~300 Euros for Crusader Kings 2 "fair and balanced". Oh, and they are among the first to implement a subscription for single player titles. Avoid.

Early Access Review
Amazing city builder with the only downside being early access. Lots of features are incomplete, but the game is already solid.
This is one of the few games that have me excited for more content.

Overwatch 2 is actually the worst game release of all time

Over time I've been part of many game launches, some of them good, a lot of them bad. Blizzard has also had fairly bad launches in the past, diablo 3 error 37 instantly comes to mind. Being unable to play properly on weekends for the first months was painful.

However this game launch completely takes the cake when it comes to botching a game franchise. Blizzard killed a fully functional game to release vaporware. The main content of this game was canceled and all we have left is a worse version of a beloved franchise that could have been so much more than it was.

Modern day Blizzard isn't worth your money anymore. Go play something good or just literally anything else instead and you will have a better time.

Core gameplay loop and the visuals of the game are top notch. Besides that there's a severe lack in RPG mechanics and overarching goals or things to work towards. Achievements (penances) range from fun to working-against-your-team, but are ultimately pointless.

The game currently has very little progression besides just spamming the same missions over and over again:
  • A leveling curve to level 30 that unlocks higher damage weapons and some very simple traits
  • A weekly resource and a gold item shop to buy your randomly rolled items from
  • Then you can "craft" those items by spending tons of resources on them and gain random improvements

And that describes the entire RPG side of this game. As for the story, it's simply 6 cutscenes you will see during your leveling to 30, which are about 2 minutes long each. I wish there was more to this game than the ~10 missions, because those are pretty well done.

If you're in EU, avoid this game.

Just like previous Amazon Games releases, servers filled up instantly for EU. Character creation for my server was locked on day 1, so none of my friends can play with me.
Also today by joining each server for a couple second, people could see that there were 240k people in queue for EU out of 600k players globally playing at the time.

This is yet another sad display for the richest company in the world.

Fun core concept mit decent crafting, but there's no content in endgame besides grinding gear (watermark) or laggy PvP matches. The game was really fun on launch when you could actively compete for territory, but quickly fell apart afterwards when players got to max level and 2 out of the 3 endgame features (war and outpost rush) were disabled due to bugs and exploits.

This is also the buggiest MMO I've ever played, and that says a lot considering I've been playing most games of this genre since WoW Burning Crusade.

The campaign of this game just fails to be fun in any way. Compared to most other RTS campaigns, it just pales.
Everything feels slow, grindy and boring. Some missions have you kill thousands of indected surrounding you while defending a point.

My recommendation: Play a better game like SC2 for single player content. If you've already played that, just replay some hit from way back like C&C Generals.

Animal behaviour can be a bit weird sometimes, but it's worth it. Especially if you got a group of like-minded hunters that just want to play some run and gun against a herd of bisons.
