The game needs a lot of work; it feels like it was released 3 to 6 months too early. While there are some nice new features, like overhauled animations and graphics, there's a lot wrong with it. Many features were removed, and it's unclear if this was due to design choices or because they weren't ready for launch.

Simple things like "Automate exploration" and cycling through units are missing. The entire spy-craft model has been reduced to a single button. There's no DLSS support, even though other graphics upscalers are included. Additionally, no matter what you do, every civilization ends up at war with you simultaneously.

It seems the developers intended to build a better game, but what we have now is a half-baked mess. If you can wait until the first sale, save your money, I suspect many of these issues will be fixed by then.

Mandating a PSN account after launch is a scummy thing to do.

The game is fun and you do get a dose of some unique South Park content but you can complete the entire game in 2.5 hours.

The Good;

Buggy - expect crashes
Very repetitive gameplay
To earn all the locked cosmetics they expect you grind exactly the same missions over and over.
Not as funny/shocking as the last 2 games

game is actually fun when you look past the many bugs.
The devs are greedy morons who don't know how to code.

This is easily one of the best games I've played in years.
The attention to detail is immaculate, and the sense of fun and progression is well-tuned.
The other thing is that not one of the many quests glitched, which is something familiar with this kind of game.
Forget any controversy about the game; if you enjoy gaming you want fantasy, and a good story-line, then do yourself a favour and play the game.

I'm not sure what the developers are thinking but this game suffers from a lack of attention to basic gameplay and for things to work the way they should vs constantly churning out skins and random events while the base game remains largely broken.

Some smart improvements; the game is a bit harder, players are difficult to keep happy - just enough changes added to make the game feel fresh this year without re-engineering the basic concepts.

Feb 2020: This game is not really playable anymore. There's no game that takes place without a cheater in a flying car, or someone who simply never misses headshots whether they're looking at you or not. Outside of that I witnessed a teammate killing other teammates for the items they've looted. When you're not dealing with hackers and griefers then you have the fun of the bugs in the game, massive packet loss randomly, game crashes and other random glitches like weapons not reloading when you switch.

There are many other multiplayer games and BR's out there that don't suffer from the same issues that PUBG does.

If this game was a sausage it would be the wurst.

What can I say? The game is awesome way more tricky and challenging than the last few years. If you enjoy football then grab this game.
