Immersive game with detailed difficulty options.
Involving storyline that aligns with the two other Metro games.
And most importantly graphics that still hold up several years later.
Definitely would recommend giving this one a buy, especially on sale.

A fairly challenging game when there are several other players in a multiplayer match.
Singleplayer is for the casual gamer who enjoys a decent PvE challenge but finds themself struggling in a PvP setting.
All-in-all, a decent game with an involving (if a little slow) storyline.

This game is a timeless classic from the seemingly long gone age of EA producing great games.
I would highly recommend giving it a play.

Early Access Review
(Update as of November 2023)
AI is still fundamentally broken. Devs say they added "stealth mechanics" but once one AI spots you, ALL OF THEM come running straight to where you are. Same thing if you fire a weapon.
AI still shoot through foliage, and will spot you through foliage. For them to say stealth mechanics have been implemented is a blatant lie, all they did was tone down the AI aimbot a little.
Which doesn't help when they double or triple the number of AI at missions, convoys, heli crashes, etc.
Game is still in a nearly unplayable state due to the sheer difficulty of getting started on a multiplayer server.
Not only do you have to put up with dozens of aimbot AI with infinite ammo, you also have to deal with fully geared players camping every mission or convoy.
Really just not even close to a balanced looter-shooter.
Even for an open world, the gameplay caters to people who spend their entire life on the game, and allows them to ruin the fun for people just trying to get their start.

Cities: Skylines has been in development for quite a while now.
Plenty of DLC content along with bug fixes have been released, however there is no real way to expand beyond 100,000-200,000 citizens. Each time you reached a population milestone you would be rewarded funds with which to expand. After reaching 90,000 population, those go straight out the window.
You can fix this by simply having strong education and industry, but getting up to the 1M mark is still not even nearly within my realm of possibility.
Now, I'm sure there are mods to fix this issue; however, the game has been in development for long enough that it would be quite simple to expand this, in comparison to the time taken on certain DLC products.
I'd like to build and manage absurdly large cities. This game is considered to be a 'simulator' but many real life metropolitan cities have populations in the millions, in this game it's possible. I simply find it really disappointing that the achievements and upgrades really stop at 100,000.

Apparently the moderators in this game would rather punish people for 'saying bad words' like "damn" or "♥♥♥♥" than ban the players using literal aim hacks.

There are literally players with swastika and nazi flag vehicles, but I get banned from chat permanently for telling some guy to shut up.

The game is overrun with bots and sees less than 500 unique players daily. Not worth paying for unless it goes on sale, which is unlikely to happen.

If you enjoy hunting, this is a PC game for you, plain and simple.
The game can be pricey if you so choose, seeing as how you have to purchase any extra equipment you want, but in it's base free-to-play style, it is still playable and fun.

Seeing as how it's free, SCP: Secret Lab is a game that would cost you nothing to try, and uninstall if you didn't like it.
If you have never read up on any SCP lore, or don't know anything about it, that's fine, just know that this game is intuitive and may require some knowledge to have an enjoyable experience.

When I first started playing this game, I was put off by some of the weird players and SCP fanatics, but life is what you make of it, and you'll never know if you don't try.
I found a way to enjoy this game for a number of hours, and I'm sure other people will do the same.

This game is shut down as it was ruined by cheaters and garbage developers who didn't care how their game actually functioned.

The Forest is a fun game, and I have very few complaints about it gameplay-wise in the current state it is in.
HOWEVER,
I do remember when it was released in mid-2014, and it feels like not much has changed in seven years.
I mean sure, the story arc has been completed, but the game still feels ridiculously underbaked. Just playing the game, you get a feeling that it isn't in a completed stage, but there obviously isn't going to be much more done to it.

I believe the point I'm trying to make is that most of the development of the game was actually DONE in 2014, and the developers took way too long to actually put it together, and that's why the game has lost most of it's playerbase.

Beyond at most a hundred hours, the game will get dull. Multiplayer is not what you'd expect and is still severely buggy, along with it's connection issues.
In my honest opinion, this game is not worth the buy unless you heard about it or played it back in 2014 and want to see how far it's come, which truthfully, is not very far.
