When I began this game I had almost no previous exposure to the WH 40K franchise. I bought it because it looked like a lot of fun-- and that turned out to be true. This game really leans into the violent power fantasy genre- almost like gears or doom. It is especially fun to play with friends. The campaign is excellent, the operations are fantastic and have plenty of replay-ability. I did not care too much for the multiplayer.

And an additional gripe is that based on the user experience and design it feels like a console game first and PC game as an afterthought. Instead of a well optimized main-menu with a friends list or a server browser we get a (admittedly great looking) hub-area that at first is excellent for immersing you in the campaign, but later becomes more of a hassle as you have to sit through loading animations and numerous lengthy loading screens just to try to join a lobby.

Overall, this is a really fun game. Definitely worth it if you have friends to play with!

DRG is pretty awesome, with easily some of the best Devs out there. They are constantly creating new content that is FUN, and not just slop thrown in as micro-transactions or bloat to the game. The community is also very friendly to new players (mostly) and one of the most wholesome 100 out there. I am excited to see DRG and ghostship's future

Teardown is a 9/10. Innovative gameplay, charming story and artstyle, mods galore! Only downsides are if you don't have a B-tier or higher computer I don't think you are gonna have very much fun playing as you'll have 25 fps the whole time. And it doesn't have a whole lot of replayability, although you only need a few hours to really appreciate it. Highly recommend

No, It's not like 2D minecraft. Terraria stands out as its own distinct and memorable game. Fun to play alone, great to play with a friend.

Early Access Review
4 Years and over 20 million sales later and this game is still just as broken and buggy as it ever was. The charm and novelty has worn off by now. It isn't scary anymore. New features just make the game less enjoyable and more grindy, which is in trend with the scourge of modern games that turn games into more of a science to be optimized to death than a fun or thrilling activity.

The immersion of going in a house of scary ghosts is defeated by players knowing ever mechanic and meta strategy-- going through a practiced routine without a feeling of fear or adventure. The only goal now is to maximize profits, xp, or complete a weekly mission. And players who don't play by these rules and haven't studied the wiki for hours at a time are punished by horribly finicky mechanics that haven't been improved for player experience at all after several years and tens of millions of dollars have entered the dev's coffers. Call it a skill issue, but trying to do something as simple as taking a picture of the ghost-- what is basically the entire premise of the game-- still feels nearly impossible to do reliably and more like a game of chance.

And of course, just like any good breakout indie title, the devs decided to ruin any chance they had to actually radically improve this game by creating a console port. This is awful because it causes the game's development to be stymied by wasting years developing a port, then having to ensure parity for every future update on 3+ platforms.

Another common trend of these breakout indie titles- pubg, amogus, fallguys- a year or two after they hit their peaks, some other startup creates a better version of the game. Phas has some of these clones, they are probably a better option to investigate.
