Have you ever loved something so much but you had to let it go because the relationship was so toxic that if you did not let go you would go down with them? That is the best way to describe my relationship with Overwatch and despite all its wrong doing I still love overwatch with every fiber of my soul. It hurt me quite a lot to give up on this but just like a toxic relationship I had to cut it off because all it was doing was hurting me.

Everything started great when Overwatch first released I was confident that this would be it the next big thing the kind of multiplayer game that would make it to the big leagues like CSGO TF2 and Call of duty. I Loved Overwatch so much that I sunk 500 hours into the console version of the game Just to go and buy it again for PC and sink 1500 in game hours. I loved it so much that I continued to play this game religiously and Continued to buy Loot Boxes when its creators decided that the best thing to do with a freshly blooming game was to drop it and work on a PVE Sequel.

This Game went from Number 1 to Lifesupport just because they had to redirect the manpower to make this amazing PVE MMO and Competitive Shooter Hybrid . They said don't worry it will all be worth it when you finally this new PVE Story mode we have created. This went on for several Years until finally when I was just about to give up hope that my favorite game was dead, Came the announcement for Overwatch 2. Finally all our hopes and dreams will be solved. So Overwatch 2 came out and it was Overwatch 1 with less content one less player slot, A brand new monetization model and battle pass. There was no PVE content they said that they just needed some more time to cook and that they did not want to leave the game dead so they were going to start making more multiplayer content while the PVE was still cooking. They said don't worry its coming and this new Payment model is here because we need some extra funds to finish off the PVE. Disappointing but I already waited this long whats a few more months.

so in those 10 months what did we get? 6 new heroes, 8 new maps and 5 maps removed. Each of those Hero's has been locked behind a $10 paywall. While you can unlock them through progression it can take up to the end of the season to even unlock them if you are a casual player. Most of the time these hero's are extremely powerful when first released so you are at a disadvantage if you do not have them. Skins went from something you could work hard to unlock to starting at $20 a piece. The Battlepass does not pay for it self like every other game in existence it was not until a few months ago when they started including currency in the battle pass that you can use to purchase only old skins that existed before Overwatch 2 was a thing. The game does offer you ways to unlock premium currency but you have to literally play every single week for 3 whole season to be able to unlock one battle pass. This game does not respect you or your time whatsoever. You know who respects more of your time than Overwatch does? Bing you can use Bing for a few weeks and unlock the same amount of rewards that it would take you 4 months of playing Overwatch without pause. For several months of its inception there was no way of earning any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at all. They also removed Several key QOL features from Overwatch 1 and spoon fed some of them back to us under the guise of new content. There was an extremely useful in game LFG where you could make groups and join strangers without having to matchmake you could do this to ensure you had a semi decent group of player to play comp or if you just wanted to chill with people that actually used their Mics. 10 months later and that feature is no where to be seen There were dozens of these useful features that were removed for Overwatch 2.

So at the end of the day this was all going to be worth it because they were going to release this super amazing fleshed out PVP game that they had to make a whole brand new engine for. I mean who cares about Overpaying for skins when it means that the actual good product that you have been waiting for several years for will be released. So where is the PVP that was promised? Never happening two months ago they told us that right before Overwatch 2 was given its final and official release Date they decided that it was no longer feasible and that they were going to scrap it. So before this "Sequel" ever came out they new that the PVP was not going to happen yet they promised it every step of the way saying that your money was going towards the funding of the PVE content and it was just a short release away. How did they tell us about this news btw? They made a long press release where 90% of it was talking about game mode designed to sell new skins and at the very end of it they said oh btw PVE is cancelled but do not worry we will still sell you the scraps.

So the giant full blown PVE was not going to happen but they were still going to release some of the stuff that they already made. But they were going to charge everyone 14-$50 for non re-playable story missions that are barely 45 mins a piece.

Every step of the way decisions have been made that have slowly killed this game off piece by piece and its absolutely guts me because I love this game. I just can't support it because its only going to encourage these decision again. So I have to step away and watch my favorite game of all time slowly die

So no I cannot recommend this game

Dear Sony,

It's day 2,702 I have almost begun to lose count of the days since I first experienced its Glory its lovecraftian and Victorian aesthetic etched into my mind. Those tiny memories and glimpse into a happier time are the only thing keeping me going.

Only true love could have me do the things I had to do to make it this far in my Journey the amount of hours I have had to spend and the friends I had to give up just so I could afford to make it this far. My only hope is that one days the creators of such a masterpiece will love it like I do. My wallet can only take so much abuse this is the fourth game I have had to purchase again at full Price, not to mention all the other Fromsoft games.

Every Lashing breaks my spirit further and further but I can't waiver. Surely my efforts have made some progress these last 2,702 days surely could not be for not. Maybe if I purchase just one more full price Sony game they will have mercy. Can they not see my anguish, pain and devotion. Surely this sacrifice is enough isn't Sony? Please I beg you I do not know if I can further, Please from the bottom of my heart and wallet.

Release BloodBorne from its misery, give it the love and support that it deserves.
