I'm normally not into these types of games but I saw this one and it interested me. Worth it. Though finishing each settlement can be a bit same-ish they've done a lot of updating and keep doing more with it.

Well, it's a good game. It's definitely grindy at times, especially if you only play with 1-2 friends but most of the timers are very generous. There's apparently a lot of people that didn't do any reading to see about permanent loss of your character if you miss your mission timer and are still on planet, but you don't have to complete the mission to go back. On that note, I've had to do that once due to bugs with crates not appearing.

I like the idea of limited points so that you can't just max out everything and run through the game easily, but the game needs the ability to respec your points before going into a mission. There's a few points in the talent tree that aren't obvious what you need to spec to continue down the tree, beecause the lines don't actually connect to the talent line next to it. Also while the game isn't really meant to solo, the talent lock isn't very good if you only play with 1-2 people either because you can't get someone in every spec. Also it would be more fun to plan ahead and be able to swap what role you will play for each mission. Being permanently locked into certain talents has already bit me in rear a few times, though not as bad as my girlfriend who specced purely into building and mining and now has almost no stamina or speed.

There's quite a few things that need balancing in material cost and/or usefulness and a lot of work needed on animal reactions and threat, but it's definitely playable as it is. Also there needs to be improvements to fully mining different nodes, as a lot of them become impossible to clear with parts of them underground. I imagine it would be even more fun with more players. I would say that if you are looking for a pristine experience then you should wait on buying this until a sale or more time has passed, but if you are just looking for something to chill with friends playing and don't mind some rough edges or occasional ridiculous deaths to mob waves then jump on in and enjoy it.

Been quite a few fixes so far, it's improved even from the first day.....so here's to hoping it gets better.

I really enjoy this game, it's damn good. The bots are even tough. I can't play it for more than 3-4 hours at a time, but it's pretty damn fun.

There is a lot of potential in this game and it's pretty well built and fleshed out now. There needs to be more variety brought into the environments and more options for traps/building, but for now it's a very fun game and I'm enjoying it.
