This game is extremely mediocre. It's not amazing, not great. I would argue that the scope of the game makes it understandable to be sold for 70$ but I really can't suggest buying it at that price. Games like this are why a 'Neutral' recommendation are helpful.

The combat is fine, its not great, not terrible.
The story is pretty good, but as most video games recently, feels that it doesn't end the story in a satisfying way.
The performance is fine, seems like it runs a bit choppy at times but that could be my settings specifically.
The characters are fine, they seem pretty shallow with a few exceptions.
The world is a bit bland, feels pretty empty and NPCs don't do much.

If you have time and money to burn, or get it on a discount, it's a good time.

The first in a long-running series of frantic, unique, and enjoyable games, UBERMOSH is extremely enjoyable and volume 1 is far less RNG dependent than the future installments. For the price and amount of enjoyment, I would absolutely recommend this game, it is absolutely worth the price. It takes a solid couple runs to understand the mechanics and not die within a couple moments of starting a run, but once you get the hang of it, you go into a sort of flow that I haven't been able to find in any larger games, the UBERMOSH series, POST VOID, Devil Daggers and Hyper Demon being the only games that have given me the same feeling. The only downside I can pin onto this game is how repetitive it gets after a couple of hours. I could see some people playing this game for hundreds of hours, getting the absolute highest score possible, but for most people the cap may be closer to two hours of gameplay.

Unlike Ubermosh and the sequels to it, BULLETHELL is far more based on RNG mixed with some amount of skill. The game is extremely fast paced and speeds up very quickly, becoming nearly impossible to past thirty seconds in a life. This is not a bad thing of course, it's still a very fun and engaging game, and definitely held my attention for long enough for me to get all achievements. For the price and level of enjoyment I would absolutely suggest this game, as well as many other of Walter Machado's games.

This game is truly mediocre, the visuals are pretty great, but combat is weirdly floaty and inconsequential, 90% of the side quests are pointless with the only goal of keeping you playing for longer, controls are bad on kb+m and kinda jank on controller, and the story is just okay. It's a perfectly acceptable game but when you can get games way better for far less than this one, there's just no real reason to play it unless you get it on a heavy sale. The narrator also talks way more than i feel he needs to, and for a game with characters who technically cant speak the same language as the person playing the game, there is a lot of dialogue. The game is pretty well optimized and isn't bloated in file size. It's a fun game if you want to just waste time, but that's about all there is to it.

Really good game for when you need to warm up for another game, it doesn't feel like a game that you would play for 5 hours in a row, but its fun for the maybe 30 minutes that you play for. Very enjoyable and the seizure inducing visuals aren't as annoying as I expected. I've played many games with far less fun feeling shooting.

Good game, great graphics, you need a decent PC to play it, and the lore is an afterthought at most points. Good doom experience, just have fun with it.
