Nocturne’s first chapter contains about 2 hours worth of content and already has got legs to stand for several more chapters in the saga.

There are some bops that will stay in your head for a while after the demo’s over; the soundtrack’s packed with mesmerizing tracks and a healthy variety of bangers thrown into the mix. The visual style too rocks with the same qualities as its soundtrack: mesmerizing, pretty, and everything just feels right. Kudos to the art team :D

It’s hard to say too much about the story in its current state due to how much mystery surrounds it so far. For the time being, you’ve got a lovely character dynamic between the protagonists who bounce off of each other really well and you get that a lot through interaction dialogue and cutscenes. In the grand scheme of things, you want to know more about what’s going on in this world.

Even if you don’t play rhythm games, you’ll be able to get into the groove of the game pretty easily. There are difficulty levels for every kind of person: from the newbie to the genre veteran. I don’t play rhythm games and was able to complete the demo on Adept, which is designed for people who have played their fair share of rhythm games already. Besides that, combat is satisfying and comes in short bursts in-between the quiet parts of the game.

If none of that tickles your fancy, there is a big fish you can talk to. You want to talk to a big fish, don’t you? No? Maybe a fish monk speaks to your level? A fish monk who gives you wisdom and nods sagely? You know you want that at the very least – yeah, you do.

There are a couple of things that don’t quite gel with me, namely the stealth mechanics. None of them are by any means necessary to play the game as they serve as a way to avoid combat; however, when combat feels as good as it does and the music having that addictive earworm quality to it, you really only find yourself using stealth to save time (or to avoid one particular enemy in the caves). Besides that, the game is still under active development and you can reach out to the team through their Discord where it’s easy to talk to them and make suggestions!

But aye, would solidly recommend :)

Short, punchy, and sweet. It's a charming puzzle game that's well worth your time. One can say it's a helluva lot of fun.

Note: The artbook is free if you complete the secret ending to the game. However, consider purchasing it anyways to support the developer!

It's time for a bedtime story. Hark back to days far gone as you grapple into caves, floating islands, and the interior of a mountain as you find where your uncle Fred has gone off to this time. It's a sweet story that simply feels nostalgic. The game is, at its core, a platformer that has all of its movement mechanics meshing oh so well with each other. Latch onto things with your grapple hook, leap high into the air using your suit, and spring forwards with a pair of rocket boots that accelerate you into the air to feel like the world bends to your will. And yes, while the visuals are showing their age, the environments can still be enough for that wow factor.

Following the passing of your grandfather, he hands you the keys to his farm. Without a moment to lose, you hastily make your way out of your office life into something else. Stardew Valley is charming, with characters who feel like they have weight and tasks to keep you busy but not overwhelmingly so. You'll lose yourself in the mines, by the ocean, out on the town, or perhaps just on your farm by how relaxing of an experience this game is.

You ever get so grossly interested into a tale that you feel as though you're apart of that universe? Fallout: New Vegas does that to you, looking just as beautiful as the day you first laid eyes on it. Patrol the Mojave as whoever you want to be, with a bullet to your head and a quest to hunt down whoever shot you with said bullet. Or not. You make the rules here, pal.

Ever worked in a restaurant before? No? Me neither! Cook, Serve, Delicious! is a fast-paced, keyboard swiping indie where you gotta prepare food for your patrons. Better do it quick too, else you'll be losing your perfect combo. With a surprisingly effective concept executed perfectly and loads of dishes to master, events to conquer, the like, the game will make you ask for seconds every time.

Explore the depths of Hell with the return to DOOM in the modern era. Satisfying glory kills and movement galore, you will be on your toes to beat the tar out of demons. An excellent entry into the franchise for a new generation.

A fantastic loot-n-shooter, it still holds up even to this day after all this time with its cel shaded visuals. And although its humour has certainly aged, Borderlands 2 is one of the biggest bang for your buck titles. Implying you purchase the Handsome Collection on sale, of course.

I got into a game with a friend and we were getting hunted. Decided to play dead on the ground and it worked.

This is a great game.

If I had to choose a game that has most influenced me in my life, it would be this.

The true father to the class-based team shooter genre, there is no better game to have the most vanilla experience. While offering a smaller cast of characters to choose from, customizability and constantly rotating strategy is essential to the core gameplay. Grab a few friends (or head on solo!) into a few chaotic matches for a bit of light-hearted, explosive fun.
