I put in 200 hours in the base game and then an additional 100 hours into the Iceborne expansion. I still haven't seen everything the game has to offer. There's so much satisfaction to be had in crafting the weapons I want and learning a new monster's patterns. It's incredibly fun to have 4 hunters beat the crap out of one monster and render such intimidating creatures helpless. It's also incredibly fun to have 3 large monsters and 4 hunters all in the same place at the same time. The joy of that particular chaos is hard to match. It's not for everybody but once you're in you're in for a good time.

Fun gameplay, interesting enemies, great mechanics, and cool stages. Everything you need for a great beat em up. If you love TMNT pull the trigger and get this!

A short but sweet metroidvania based on the character Deedlit from the Record of Lodoss War series. I'd recommend you watch the anime or read the manga to learn more about the characters, The pixel art is quite nice. My only gripes are that the map didn't feel completely fleshed out. I'm glad the game didn't drag on but I'm a bit unsatisfied with the amount of exploration I was allowed to do. I think I found about 85 to 90% of all the items but there didn't seem to be a way to tell. If there's a bestiary and item collection log in game, I missed it. Overall not a bad game for the price, but I can't really recommend a full price purchase if you compare it to other metroidvanias available on steam.

If you liked Doom 2016, this is a more refined version of that, If you didn't like Doom 2016 give this a try. It feels a bit closer to the classic dooms with a lot more mobility thrown in.

Always remember, your chainsaw is your source of ammo! If there's a low ammo warning popping up a lot that means you forgot about your chainsaw. Make chainsawing small fries a habit and you'll never be out of ammo!

I was hesitant to get it because I was told I would need a Bethesda launcher. That was apparently only true if you don't buy the game on Steam. After you boot up the game you can either log into or create a Bethesda account. That's all you need to play. No launcher is needed. I wish I had known this sooner.

Overall a damned fine Doom experience!

A very fun open world action RPG. First impressions will make you think the game is hard like Dark Souls, but the truth is damage in the game is heavily calculated by your gear. Get good enough gear and the impossible will become trivial. Exploring the world and getting awesome gear so you can kill giant monsters is the goal of the game and it's pretty satisfying. The story is weak but that's not really what's important.

Play the game, see the sights, climb onto the back of a Griffon, hold on desperately as it takes off, bring it down by breaking off it's wing, crash into the ground with the griffon, heal up, finish off the Griffon and then find something else huge to kill. It might be a Cyclops or Perhaps a Chimera? Doesn't matter just travel and have fun!

If you have a craving for some contra-esque gameplay this will certainly satisfy the craving.

This game looks, plays, and feels extremely similiarly to the original Contra released way back when on the NES. There's even the "flying football" power up holders, You can certainly feel that this game was made by people who loved Contra and wanted to recreate the joy they felt when they played.

The weapons are all the classic Contra 1 weapons, you have your M powerup, for machinegun which is basically a much faster and more powerful version of your basic gun, S spreadshot which is pretty self explanatory, E for electric shot which is a reskin of the original fire burst shot (and IMO makes more sense) and L for laser (Protip: rapidly hit the shot button with this weapon for DEVASTATING results). There's also a R powerup which adds rapidfire to whatever you're currently using. They added a couple of interesting twists, the weapons all have alternate fire modes that are basically charged up power shots, and there are hidden power ups in the levels. (I have yet to find these "hidden powerups" but they're hinted at in the achievements.

There's both local and online coop which is a great feature, this kind of game is best enjoyed with a friend. Online coop is handled via user hosted lobbys, but I have yet to play with anyone so I can't honestly say how well that handles.

You can also change the color and sprite (albeit a minimal change) of your character which is also a rather nice feature. The detail on the boss sprites is incredible and you can really get a feel of the "grotesque alien mutation look" they were going for. My only complaint when it comes to the enemy design is that certain enemies look pretty lackluster, like the eyeball enemies in the first 2nd and 3rd stages in particular.

Gameplay wise, the controls feel solid and precise and can be adjusted to suit just about any taste. You can even adjust your x and y axis which is somewhat rare for a side scroller. The level designs flow well, and you have a pretty decent chance to see what's trying to kill you before it gets a chance. There are 3 levels of difficulty and there's a significant difference between the 3. I don't recommend you play on normal alone unless you have VERY good reflexes or you're a glutton for pinishment. Boss patterns change with difficulty so there's an incentive to replay in that regards.

I recommend this game to fans of Contra or side scrollers in general. the price is right and it's quite fun.

An excellent tower defense game that's very fun to play. The story is engrossing and well written and it has a nice difficulty curve. It also sports the best new game + modes I've ever played. I plan to buy the sequel to this day 1, and I plan to play the awesome free HD update that this game is getting from beggining to end.

I'm hard pressed to think of any part about this game I didn't like. It can be a bit grindy but that's only if you decide you want to try to beat all of the difficulties in 1 sitting. For those of you who like to slap a game into hardmode from the getgo I guess I'd advise you to stay away because hard mode will kick you in the nuts, light you on fire, and then throw you out the window unless your characters are ready for it.

Great game from an awesome indie dev team. Well worth your time and money.

A very solid Platformer. The controls are tight, the music is great if you're into electric guitars (think Guilty Gear), the level designs are good and theres a decent amount of replayability. A good purchase if your a fan of the Megaman series. I played it mainly with a controller so I can't really speak for how it handles on the keyboard.

When I first saw this game on the steamstore I said to myself, whoa, where did this come from? I took a closer look and saw screenshots that brought up fond memories of Sonic the Hedgehog, Gunstar Heroes, and Sparkster. Then I watched the trailer, had my mind blown and immediately reached for the buy button. This game is simply awesome!

Remember that thrill of searching stages for stuff at high speeds in Sonic? You get that here. Remember fighting those tough but awesome Sparkster and Gunstar Heroes bosses? That's here too! Remember finding cool secrets by carefully using wall climbing and airdashes in Megaman X? Tons of that goodness here! This game delivers almost all the great experiences of classic 2d gaming in 1 package.

Even if you don't have memories of all these games, this game delivers some excellent 2d gameplay and you shouldn't pass it up. Everything about this game shows that a TON of love went into it's development. Get it and enjoy! Tell your friends about it if you like it!

Yes, this game looks simple. Yes it's appears to be only stick figures. Yes, at a glance you'd think this isn't worth your time.
Well don't let first impressions fool you. This is a really fun and really exciting game that requires insane reflexes and high concentration. There are TONS of levels and plenty of content. This game is very much worth every cent!
