The game is definitely... interesting. The track laying mechanics are mediocre at best, but the game kinda gets to you. It's a love-hate relationship.

Keep in mind that Hmmsim is still in early access, and being actively developed. Devs are pushing updates regularly, including map expansions & new trains.

absolutely incredible entertainment

Als ein Liebhaber vom Originalen Spiel muss ich leider sagen, dass dieser "Remaster" hier kompletter Trash ist.
Mit einem 21:9 Widescreen Monitor fängt es schon dabei an, dass das Hauptmenü unbenutzbar ist. Entweder sind die Buttons ineinander geschoben, oder befinden sich komplett außerhalb des dargestellten Bereiches.

Wenn man es dann trotzdem irgendwann mal zufällig hin bekommt auf play zu drücken, wird man von Dunkelheit begrüßt.
Das gesamte Spiel ist viel zu dunkel, in sowieso schon dunklen Szenen aus dem Original erkennt man dann hier leider absolut überhaupt nichts.

Generell, bis auf die neuen Face-Tracking Gesichter (welche übrigens nur für einige Charaktere neu gemacht wurden, manche haben immer noch ihre alten Animationen und sehen dann nebeneinander aus wie Geister) wirkt das ganze Spiel einfach nur so, als hätte man hier einen nicht mal gut optimierten Instagram-Filter drüber gelegt.

Was hatte ich noch? Ah ja, nicht ladende Texturen, Szenen wo anstelle der Untertitel einfach nur "Cue_E2_1B_CampusB_CHSamuel_Phase01_Max_001" etc. angezeigt wird, total sinnlos verschwommene Kameraansichten, plötzlich verschwindene Menüpunkte, und diese Liste könnte ich noch viel weiter führen...

Ich habe das Spiel gar nicht großartig weiter gespielt, es verdirbt einem in diesem Zustand einfach den ganzen Spaß. Rückerstattung ist beantragt, 40 Euro für sowas hier sind eine Frechheit.
Bug level fast cyberpunk release hier alter...

Fazit:
Kauft euch das "Original", und nicht die "Remastered"-Version. Daran habt ihr deutlich mehr Freude.


Update: Rückerstattung wird nix, da ich das Spiel zusammen mit Life is Strange: True Colors (Was übrigens ein sehr tolles und gutes Spiel ist) und noch anderen Sachen vorbestellt hatte. Wenn dann müsste ich alles aus diesem Bundle zurückerstatten lassen, einige dinge daraus will ich jedoch weiterhin behalten. Doof gelaufen also...

Toll, einfach toll. Eine spannende, tiefgründige und emotionale Story gepaart mit vernünftig handelnden und intelligenten Charakteren zu sehen tut richtig gut. Dieses Spiel kann in teilen sehr traurig sein, hat dagegen auch seine sehr belohnenden Momente.
Ab und zu gab es leider ein paar kleinere Bugs, allerdings nichts Spielverderbendes. Was jedoch leider nicht funktioniert hat, war das spielen auf einem 21:9 Widescreen-Monitor. Bitte möglichst einen Standard 16:9 Monitor nutzen, sonst werden einige Auswahlmöglichkeiten in Dialogen leider nicht richtig angezeigt.

Meine persönliche Bewertung:

Insgesamt würde ich dem Spiel guten gewissens eine 9/10 geben.
* Das Spiel war im Juni 2021 kostenlos verfügbar. Der reguläre Preis von ca. 17€ ist jedoch trotzdem noch absolut gerechtfertigt und fair.

Great characters with an impressive storyline - sadly, it's not that long.
For sure, the game is amazing, has high-quality graphics and animations and an emotionally very challenging story with deep character backgrounds, but for 60€ i'd expect a bit more than a playthrough in just 9 hours :/

Still a 9.5/10 though!

At the moment of writing this review it's on sale for 38,99€, and you should definitely get the game at that price, it's worth it ^^

This is a short, sad and beautiful game. Really interesting and convincing storyline, very detailed and interesting to play.
