I was looking through my reviews last night and thought that I should make a proper review on one of my favorite games of all time instead of some 5 worded joke review I made over a year ago that I don't even find funny anymore. so here goes.

This game is like a love letter to the Nintendo 64 platformer games like Mario 64 and Banjo & Kazooie, and I love it. To me this game is like a love letter to 3D platformers in general, to the point where I had more fun with this game than with Super Mario Odyssey. This game has a lot of the stuff like I personally love, like charm, voice acting, fun controls, etc. When I first bought it on switch early 2023 (dumb idea), I loved it the second I finished the first level. I'd spent hour everyday on it, completing death wishes, and just collecting everything I can. When I bought it on Steam, I was not disappointed at my financial choice. I get to relive this experience on a whole different platform, while getting to try out PC exclusive content like Online Party and workshop levels.

Another thing that struck me is that this for some reason this game was the first and so far only game that I feel sad about not playing sooner. I never felt like this with any other games such as when I plated Hollow Knight and Celeste back in 2023, Deltarune back in 2020, Undertale and Cuphead back in 2019. Hell, I hardly felt sad when I played Super Smash Bros Ultimate when I played it about a couple years after release. This game however, made me feel left out when I realized how old it was, making me feel even more left out when I couldn't try stuff that console versions didn't have. (again, if you want to buy it, get it on Steam)

I met multiple friends on here, so I don't regret buying it again one bit.

Anyways, this game deserves a spot on one of, if not, my favorite game of all time. It's best if you look at the system requirements before getting this, as it's probably bigger than you think. So my only ask is that if you're reading this review wondering if you should buy this game or not, please do. In the end, you can always refund it if it's not for you. You can actually get pretty far into it within 2 hours, the max playtime you need to be eligible for a refund.
