This game has me by the balls and I hate it

Still a great game, but just not as good as the first.

A lot of unnecessarily added mechanics, things that are added to the game just to make it feel more full. There are some pretty cool moments that are reminiscent of the first game, but mostly it just seems like they are trying to replicate a formula and not doing the best job at it.

There is no need to have a fully voiced character or show the faces of so many others that are never really shown at all throughout the rest of the story.

Overall, I would give it a 7.5/10. Enough good parts to outweigh the bad parts, but still very much Subnautica. Get it while it's on sale.

Play this game. I don't care what the price is or how you're playing it. Just do it. It is one of the best games I have ever played and by far the best platformer. The audio and visual design is breathtaking, and the story is one that will stick with you til the very end. The combat and movement stays fresh by introducing new ways to move and attack throughout the game. Overall, 10/10 would get feels over light again

One of the best games I have played in the past 3 years or so. This game is so atmospheric that you'll have trouble putting it down once you get started. The first and last few hours can be a bit tedious at times with scavenging for endless resources but overall the experience is truly positive. If you are just now picking up this game, please do not look up any maps or guides online. They will ruin the sense of exploration and fear of losing your progress that makes the game so much better.

10/10 can't wait for the new content to drop for this game.


EDIT: As of December 12th, the game is free on the Epic Games store from the 14th of December to the 28th. Go pick it up for free. Seriously, the game itself is worth 25 dollars but getting it for free is one of the best things to happen to games this year.

It happened. It finally happened. After 5 full years of ups and downs and downs and even more downs, the game has released from early access. After playing a bit of the beta and messing around with the mods in this game, I can say that the game is in a very good place at the moment. Base building can be a bit buggy can complex, but is a very good step for vanilla progression. It doesn't feel impossible to be a good person in this game. Cars are scarce but aren't (as much of) a pain in the ass to fix and maintain. Modded servers add fun modes like Deathmatch servers, new guns and uniforms, and plenty of other weird ♥♥♥♥.

Everyone can be happy with the game, whether it's on a server that is reverted back to launch state, or if it is modded to hell and has Pepe and My Little Pony as every texture. And that is a good thing.

Overall, the game is a lot better than it was about 3 years ago to about 6 months ago. I am excited to see the new chapter of this game. Here's to the future of DayZ, and seeing where it is headed towards next.

Ah this game. Back in the Open Betas of 2016 and 2017, it looked so promising. Was so much fun, and reminiscent of the old arcade shooters. It's a shame that it was released under the shadow of Overwatch, Battlefield 1, and even eventually PUBG. May Boss Key RIP and I hope that Cliffy B can get back to his glory days of being a lead dev.

A lot of fun. Brings back good memories from older times. With a couple server issues aside, could be one of the best. To all those complaining, yes it should be fixed but give it time. No one complained this hard when GTA V didn't come to PC until 2015 and Battlefield 4 launched with the equivalent of no servers.

Campaign (so far) : 8/10
Multiplayer: 8.5/10
Zombies: 8/10

Overall, good game. If you're not that big on the franchise, just wait until a sale if you're going to buy it. Still a great installment for Campaign if you're not big on mulitiplayer.

EDIT: Sledgehammer, over the nearly 3 weeks since launched, has stayed true to its promise so far and has still supported PC players. We'll see how this holds up going into the winter update coming up.
