Probably the best version of a game that's been released to us about 6 times at this point.

Alot of people have the same complaints, and I'd say they are partially (in such a small amount) valid.

The font sucks. It makes the game unplayable for the vision-impaired (so I've heard) and it's just awful to look at otherwise. YOU CAN FIX THE FONT IN 2 SECONDS. THE SAME WAY AND THE SAME FILES AS MOST OF US HAVE DONE FOR THE OTHER 5 GAMES.

People complain about some of the most minute, pitiful things to complain about- the Opera Scene (anyone who's played this game before knows the scene) is fully vocalized and in my opinion sounds great. Within the context of the game's story, there's a very pertinent reason the singing lady doesn't sound like the person she's trying to impersonate.

I've heard that some of the sprites have been made into oversaturated messes. I think the devs went a little extreme on Gau's hair, but for the most part, all of the core party members look and seem refreshed. Some of the costumes have much more detail (the new rendering allows the devs access to way, wayyyy more color options than they used to have), and much of this detail is beautiful now that you can make sense of it. Gau's hair is extremely bright, but when you're in any of the (HUGE amount) of "dreary" landscapes, he looks awesome.

Speaking of landscapes- the battle backgrounds look amazing. The in-game animations look crisp and clear, and out of battle, in certain scenes, lightning and weather effects have been added that add a whole dimension to the environment maps.

It feels just as difficult as the previous "best versions" of the game. It's missing the GBA content (SO were the other 5 games) and honestly, i dont feel like any of these games got anything actually tangible from the extra content. So the complaint there feels like a load of garbage, also. This game was supposed to wrap up within the game. No reason for post-game content given what happens in this game's story.

The OST is absolutely banging. I'd venture as far as to say this is a playable album and not a video game with a soundtrack, because every track is worth setting your controller down just to vibe for a moment. Everything is memorable. The SNES version was great, but now dated.. The GBA version had compressed, choppy sounding versions of some of this game's hallmark tracks, and some of them felt ruined, to the point where modders replaced the GBA files for something better. I didn't play the sloppy mobile port ( and you shouldn't have either ) but i'd reckon this PR release is the best version of all of the songs that one may hear, unless you see one of those performing orchestras?

I haven't completed the game yet and my gameplay thusfar is genuine. Don't come to FF6 expecting hundreds of hours of gameplay. IN fact, 65-70 might be a little heavy but thats where I expect to end my game. Due to the time of this game's release and the sheer amount of characters, it is sort of lacking in character development. I feel the devs could have added "character quests" for everybody, beyond the initial "recruitment mission" for each of them. It is to be expected from a game this old, but for what it lacks in character development, it absolutely makes up for in character variety.

Quite possibly the best JRPG of all time. Besides Tactics.

Monster Train is like Snakes on a Plane except instead of snakes, it's magic cards, and instead of a plane it's a train, and instead of Samuel L. Jackson, it's me staring at my screen listless and lost in my underwear trying to figure out what Synergy means.
