Everything written here will be for the game on patch 1.03, I shall update the review if I play the game again.

Graphics:

+ Beautiful saturated colours
+ Some jaw-dropping scenery and picturesque backdrops
+ Can run on a 7 year old mid-range graphics card (on low settings 1080p 40-60fps, GTX 970)

- Plagued by stuttering, I hear this may be due to dx12 shader compilation, after testing on a 6600 XT and GTX 970, the stuttering was worse on the 6600 XT despite greater overall performance, may be due to AMD drivers.
- Looks somewhat dated, graphics you would expect in 2018 rather than 2022, don't expect a Demon's Souls Remake look.
- No FSR/DLSS or ultra wide support.
- Hackers, Easy Anticheat is worthless.

Gameplay:

? No quest markers
? Some of the best content locked away behind hidden areas
+ Dual wielding weapons...amazing just try it.
+ Feels very responsive given you accept the game holds you to your inputs.
+ Large variety of cool looking spells weapons, and weapon arts, some are insanely beautiful.
+ Many ways to take on enemies, you aren't forced to play a particular way.
+ Large open world, jam-packed and lots to explore, something to find in every corner.
+ Some awesome boss and enemy designs with great move-sets.
+ Intuitive UI.

- Balance is completely broken, if you want an easy mode on patch 1.03, use bleed weapons or turtle behind a greatshield with a rapier / spear type weapon, or you can rock a dex/int spellblade build (this requires more skill to pull off).
- On the previous point, "Colossal Swords" or Ultra Great Swords as you may know them struggle in this game, most enemies are very fast, Colossal Swords are very slow, avoid them.
- Servers are currently overloaded, if you co-op or invade expect "An error occurred returning to your world" mid boss.
- Invasions are awful, almost always at least 2v1 often 3v1, and you will easily get one shot.
- Co-op is terrible, only really good for boss fights only, even then defeating certain bosses may lock you out of whole areas, not the type of game to play with a friend, better with randoms.
- PvE balance really starts to break down late game, enemies have ridiculous amounts of health and can easily one shot you, a cheese build is almost even required, bosses are mostly fine however, provided you use your ashes!

Story:

+ Expect your standard dark souls story telling, get snippets of lore from NPCs and item descriptions, though it is a bit more heavy handed in this game, overall good story, I enjoyed it.

+ There are multiple endings, and one particular ending, which you may not like, is very easy to accidentally get locked into (and requires a lot of effort to get out), so if you are researching how to get different endings, make sure to look at the consequences as well.

Verdict: 9/10
It is a good game and I recommend it provided you meet the minimum requires if you want to play at 1080p, and provided you can live with the stuttering.
You'll face death, and it won't be pretty. Enough death to leave you broken, time after time, but if that's your thing then you'll love Elden Ring!

I am souls fan, but would I call it the greatest game of all time? No, neither would I say it is a must play, the game definitely isn't for everyone, but if you are unsure, give it a try, you can always refund before the two hours are up.

Souls fans: You should buy this game

Really great game, good amount of content but has its fair share of bugs, though not on the level of a bethesda studios game.

This is was an overall brilliant game despite its shortcomings. Has a very clever but also satisfying ending with clear messages to the player of a more personal nature. The game-play was really good, especially the combat system with 9S and A2 having interesting abilities though 2Bs being a little more basic, still a good introduction to the game.

The one major issue I had with this game was the stuttering. It would slowly build up over time starting as unnoticeable but got worse the longer the game was running, it could be fixed by relaunching the game but this did get quite annoying.

Overall I would say NieR:Automata is definitely worth the play.

Positives:
- Beautiful art style, one of the best looking games to ever release
- Fluid gameplay
- Easy and simple controls
- Beautiful sound track

Situational:
- Very punishing
- More gameplay than story

Negatives:
- Poor save system, forgetting to save can lead to great losses of progress, can't save whenever you like
- One-shot enemies

A survival "horror" game which is a prequel to a fairly dull game which improves heavily on the original game.

Pros:
+ Great combat system. I really like how the guns were done. The headshots and critical strikes feel so satisfying and the 3rd person stealth surpisingly, just works.

+A semi open world which allows you to go at the game in the order you wish and rewards players heavilyy for exploration.

+Never found myself bored at any point of the game, always had something to do.

+The story was told in a decent way but some times it felt like the game wanted to be an RPG more than a horror.

+the first half of the game was great, the first antagonist had a lot of personality and was well developed.

Cons:
-voice acting could be mediocre at times with some weird vocie lines such as "The punishment for your bretrayal will be legendary" who seriously speaks like that.

-The speech menu quality is a lot worse than the cutscenes to the point where IT WILL bug you.

- Perfoms badly. I occasiocally dipped below 60fps with my 1070.

- The first antagonist stephano really meant nothing for the story, he could have not been in there and the main events within the game wouldn't really change. As well as that the second antagonist Theodore was under developed and kinda jsut thrown at you straight away with no real explanation

Overall the game is fairly good and is a devent attempt at a triple A title. It was its flaws but looking past those it is still a great game with decent replay value as you get unlockables after completing the game. I would say buy it on sale though as its full price is fairly hefty.

This game is a decent open-world RPG with a fairly detailed main storyline but I found myself bored of the game after completing the main quests and the Dead Money + Honest Hearts DLCs. I had started the Old World Blues, but it was too much for me to continue without dying of bordem, although I can see this as being replayable, I found fallout 4 much more fun.

Pros:
- Good Storyline
- Many Factions to play as
- V.A.T.S.
- A large Variety of guns

Cons:
- Poor gun gameplay outside of V.A.T.S
- Got "old" quickly for me
- Badly optimized for refreshrates above 60Hz ( I experienced severe stutter at 75Hz but had no problem at 60)

The only reason I recommend this game is because you can maybe get a good 100 hours in it and because a lot of people enjoyed it and claimed it was better than Fallout 3 and Fallout 4

CONS:
- Forced to be a raider
- Forced to take over parts of commonwealth over unless you destroy all the raiders.
- Boring
- Poor character and story development

PROS:
- The only practicle use of the 'Experimental MIRV' if you choose the good path

Overall this DLC sucks badly, its boring and just not fun to play, its also especially short if you decide to go the good route because you don't want to mess up your alliances in the commonwealth. This DLC sucks, its way to forceful on trying to make you evil and has no development if you decide to go on the good route. This DLC sucks really bad, I don't recommend buying it, and in my opinion, this DLC should be free because that's all its worth, very dissapointed Bethesda, it'll be no surprise if this does actually become free in the future.

RATING: 2/10
