All in all I personally really like the game.

My big CONS that really weighted in this review are the new progression system being based on challenges rather than heist completion and some of these challenges (clear a level on overkill without setting off the alarm) are locked behind level progression like ??? why?

Menu's feel like generic assets

Matchmaking is the only way to play basically, there is no crime net, theres not tagging stealth or loud for your lobby, theres no pregame chat to plan with your 3 randoms (if you can even get paired up with 3 others.

there's quite a bit of work that needs to be done for this to be a TRUE payday game but starbreeze has proven time and time again that they absolutely adore their games and will take feedback and improve their games drastically in a reasonable time.

this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lmao.
gunplay is the only saving grace, color pallet is all just different shades of brown so target identification is quite a chore, movement is sluggish, feels terrible, light armor or heavy.
sound is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, queue times for americans are upwards of 45 minutes when its not a free play weekend. literally this whole game is a disaster minus the gunplay, ♥♥♥♥ is so satisfying but whats the point when the rest of the game is just straight up cancer.

Dont waste your money, i supported them early cause i loved insurgency Source, but holy ♥♥♥♥ its been almost 4 years and this game is still a barren mess.

They've fixed QUITE a bit of the issues i originally had with this game, still not quite what i want from it but a LOT better than the time of the original review, I can whole heartedly recommend this game as a more populated option if you're struggling to find a match in insurgency source

Game is gorgeous,

Gunplay is awful. Sticky, feels like you have NO impact, the aiming for the gunplay is just beyond unenjoyable.
Driving is awful, feels like theres a 2 second input delay anytime you steer. ? ? ? ? how?

Story so far has been phenomenal if you pay attention.

Can't even lie, disappointed with the combat quality (minus the katana) but overall the game is a good RPG. This is NOT a first person shooter or GTA clone so don't go in with that expectation.

Please stop changing the physics in this game every 2 months, I really hate getting on this game and its literally ice. learn how a car actually handles and implement it zzzz

If you don't play this game, you're not experience the true Battle Royale experience.

Easily one of the best and most challenging games ive played in recent years, the devs themselves are amazing and the game itself is 10/10 i highly reccomend this game to anyone looking for a challenge, or a fun beatem up reminiscent of when things used to be original and creative! (:
