Play it without any prior knowledge. It's the best way to experience this.

It's free.
It's short.
It's funny.
It's Sonic.

What more do you need?

A fun little nostalgia trip with this Unity port. There are some differences from the original games, but that's to be expected when basically recreating entire games in another engine entirely.

100+ hours of incredible world building, fantastic characters, good humor, intense moments, some crying tears of sadness, and an absolute roller coaster of a video game series.

... like 10 minutes of "You have got to be kidding me" at the end. Still, it's nice to have all the games in one neat package, so if you're willing to be disappointed right at the end of ME3, just remember all the amazing moments prior to that.

I never played the original Half Life, so I cannot attest to the faithfulness of this remake. What I can say is that the single player is very enjoyable. Plenty of fun guns to shoot and classic 90s run and gunning, tricky platforming, minor puzzle solving, and other scenarios that show up that challenge the player. Some areas of the game aren't quite optimized as others, so expect a handful of the desert areas and the final area of the game to slow down here and there. Still, it hardly detracted from the experience as a whole, and it is an absolute fun experience from insertion procedure to accepting a job offer.

Didn't touch the multiplayer at all. Then again, hardly anyone's buying this game for the not-story stuff. as last I checked there were only a dozen or so souls playing in Europe.

Short and sweet, this pinball meets Super Metroid combination is endearing, charming, and quite fun.

As someone who played Dragon Quest 8 back in the PS2 days, I can say that THIS game is just as great as that one during the main story campaign. However, the "post-game" challenges and stuff after the credits in this one is honestly much better. Even if it's for a brief moment, and it comes at the 50 hour mark, I can't think of a single RPG that threw me for a loop in terms of gameplay and combat scenarios. Did have to use a guide several times, because this game is huge and sometimes a bit too esoteric in explaining things. Overall though, I enjoyed it, and if you like the more straightforward storied, turn based RPGS, this one will make a good addition to your collection.

This game is so sweet and adorable, and a great platformer as well. A great testament to the 90s era of gaming.

Me five minute before purchasing - "Okay, let's see how well this can scratch my WipeOut/F-Zero antigrav racing itch."

Me five minutes into playing - "SO FAST! KICKIN' SOUNDTRACK! LOVE IT!"

One of the best action games ever made. Insane boss battles, intense action sequences, and a story that you'll need to completely ignore because it's both nonsensical and utterly unnecessary to enjoy the game.

Quick suggestion, you'll want a controller for this, and in Steam Big Picture mode fiddle with controller configuration and turbo mode for the button mashing prompts to save your wrist and thumb some agony. I played on a XBOX 360 Controller with Down on the DPad being Y and B on Turbo, since DPad Down isn't used ingame for anything important and you can still use the menu with the analog stick. Also, X was made Turbo because doing so did not impede any actions in the game, provided you aren't holding it down during a few early cutscenes in the first two chapters.
