Amazing game but it's old so not a lot of players.

Believe me, I would love to give this a thumbs up but I can't. It has the bare bones of a space sandbox but only the barest of bones. The only things you can do is mine / destroy other ships & take their cargo and get money painfully slowly or do missions (missions = mining 100+ ores for a station, destroying a ship or a few, or going from station to station) but that's not much faster either. There's not enough to justify really any price, It's a neat tech demo but it's got nothing at all going for it past that.

The game has it's issues and is by no means perfect. That being said though, it is an enjoyable experience if you enjoy PvP survival games. Mod support has "fixed" a lot of the game's original problems such as base building, weapon/clothing variety, loot spawns and custom edits to the map. Vehicles are unstable and feel sluggish to drive. The game's enjoyability is very much tied to the server you play on and the mods it has enabled so the first server might not be the one for you.

Could not even finish the tutorials due to the horrible UI. Even just building the basic frame is a chore.

4.3/5 Absolutely worth the asking price.

Pros:
- Combat and movement feel fluid and intuitive
- Heaps of replayability due to being a rogue-lite
- Difficult but fair bosses
- No performance issues so far
- Dialogue has been interesting for the most part
- You get to pet Cerberus
Cons:
- Each area only has a few enemy types so the rooms feel similiar
- Some boons (buffs) don't really work with certain weapons
Subjective:
- Art style is really neat
- Music fits well with the game
- Steep learning curve when it comes to the bosses

Great game if you like missing 99% shots 50% of the time.
