TLDR: Ignore this game for a year and hope that either Dice undergoes a major restructure and/or they pull their finger out and do some major work to bring this game up to the quality of previous titles.

I simply cannot recommend this game, yes I have 50+ hours played, yes it does have the staple Battlefield formula but there's far more bad than good and it doesn't seem to be changing, for now. There's so many issues with this game, some have been addressed via social media (a lot of which has yet to be acted on) but some are being ignored entirely. Yes Battlefield has a recent history of terrible release states and this is no different, but there's fundamental design flaws with this game that are not likely to be addressed. With the current state of Dice I cannot see them bothering to fix some of these issues and will instead choose to move onto a new title.

Dice is under new management and is not the same development studio it once was and it is apparent when you consider the direction this series is being taken. A lot of people like to blame EA for these issues, but this one is all on Dice and even they know it. They are in full damage control at this point, this game should have stayed in development hell for another 6 months at minimum.

Pros:
- It's battlefield
- Combined arms squad based gameplay
- Satisfying gunplay with a fluid, real-time attachment system
- Vehicle call ins
- 128 player cap
- It has taken inspiration from other shooters to bring in QoL features and new mechanics (Double sprint, sliding, ads reload)
- The new specialist system allows a robust array of specialists that all have access to the same gadgets while having their own unique skills, there have been complaints about this but in a gameplay sense it is far better for the game where you don't have to rely on just one class for resupply and another for revives. The new system dramatically improves the flow of gameplay and round variety.
- One of the new specialists allow you to call in loadout crates so you can switch loadouts on the fly, extremely useful ability.
- The armor system encourages squadplay, making use of armor specialists to buff you and your squadmates armor to give you the edge in the fight while also giving you much needed survivability against snipers and marksman rifles.

Cons:
- Limited map pool
- The Portal system, while excellent for playing old series content, is limited and underutilized. Dedicated servers should be the PRIMARY form of playing this game, not the secondary.
- Poor hardware utilisation
- Many, many bugs ranging from minor visual hitches to gamebreaking issues
- Poor map design that does not suit the playercount while obviously being designed for a pseudo Battle Royale gamemode resulting in large maps having one or two major hotspots while the rest of the map goes unused.
- Terrible weapon and vehicle balance
- Useless AA and SOFLAM
- Introduction of extreme weather has little to no effect on the rounds and is barely anything more than a gimmick
- Forced matchmaking making parties difficult
- Lack of squad management (you can form your own but you cannot manage the squad, you cannot deal with afk players/leaders).
- Not enough tools available for the player to traverse the maps, the drivable civilian vehicles are so few and far between that you are better off forcing a respawn and waiting for your squadmates to arrive at the front.
- The spawn system itself is diabolical, if you spawn on a capture point the game can and WILL spawn you directly in the enemy's line of fire. This is especially bad for enemy vehicles and can be extremely frustrating, meanwhile the point can be empty and you are spawned far off to the side, it makes no sense and is not well thought out at all.
- While the attachment system is great for midfight hotswaps, a lot of the attachments are completely useless, some are duplicates (statistically but not visually), while some do not function correctly.

EDIT: The game is so dead that gamemodes are being removed, you will rarely ever see a lobby actually being filled so there'll be a flood of AI. There is no saving this game at this point, they took far too long to make changes and are only planning to dripfeed content.

Battlefield as we know it is dead and gone.

This game is super fun, it features Dante & Nero at their absolute best, V is terrible but can be overlooked due to features such as Bloody Palace and the practice mode. You can get a lot of hours out of this game, with impressive replayability and high skill ceiling. I would even say that this game is more than worth your money, however, this is not the case anymore.

Due to the lack of a proper special edition for PC (cut content that is now next gen console exclusive), this game is no longer worth your money. Do yourself a favour; Pirate it, then mod in the content you would have otherwise lost. This content includes: Legendary Dark Knight Mode, 3D Audio, Ray Tracing, reduced load times and a frame rate increase, the only content you would receive in the "upgrade" is Vergil.

Capcom simply being Capcom, speak with your wallet. It's not okay for them to shaft the PC playerbase like this.

The ultimate hack and slash, hard as ♥♥♥♥, indeth technical combat, fun (and cheesy) story. Let's not forget the man himself Dante, the man who does not give one ♥♥♥♥, if you want a game that'll kick your arse time and time again, but still give you the tools to do the most badass ♥♥♥♥, and kick the most arse in the most badass ways possible, then all i can say is get this ♥♥♥♥ right now.

A true survival shooter, step the ♥♥♥♥ back other mediocre, shallow, piss easy survival games, Stalker is here. It may not be as challenging as the original, which isn't the developer's fault since they needed to make the game a bit more accessible. Saying that, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, it's hard as balls, immersive, creative, has fantastic modding potential (Misery, Swartz etc) that make the game that much better. My only gripe is it could have had more content and land/places to go, but we have mods for that so this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is perfect.

Not many people played the original as at the time it was a bit of an underground game, however popularity really began to rise with Medieval and then sky rocketed with Rome, Shogun itself was neglected for quite a long time. However here is the sequel, with some pretty interesting expansions and DLC. It may not be as indepth or as varied with army compositions, but in my opinion it's the sequel i've been waiting on for years, i love this game.

This game was partly how an rpg should be like, yes it had awful (albiet inventive) combat and mechanics, shoddy animation flow and artstyle, but it was still a brilliant rpg for it's time. I highly recommend it's sequel, i don't think you'll find another rpg packed with as much content for free as there is in TW2, huge expansions, overhauls/patches just for buying the game. The game itself is beautiful, the combat and gameplay in general is very fluid, the environments are fantastic and immersive, vibrant AI and voice acting. These games wipe the floor with the TES series in many aspects, the sequel moreso, if you want a true RPG with more indepth fluid combat, this series is for you.

Late recommendation, but if you call yourself an FPS fan, and you don't have this, you better hurry up and play it. Good FPS games with decent skill ceilings are hard to come by these days, people are relying on old titles and remakes to get an actual challenge when it comes to online gameplay; this may be another old title but it's definetely fun and challenging.

Currently my favourite FPS. It has everything, varying classes, weapons, implants, levels and playstyles. One of the most fast paced and enjoyable fps i've played in a long time, if you can get through the steap learning curve you're in for a treat.
