EDIT/DISCLAIMER: I have not had the same bugs as everyone else has. My issues with the game in terms of bugs is very surface level, and not much is actually game breaking. Also, CDPR higher ups hired a 3rd party team to track bugs and help flag them for devs during the crunch time phase, and none of those team members had even a few years of experience in finding and dealing with said bugs, and it's not the dev team's fault that the higher ups pushed the game to release as a buggy mess.
There were no "false promises" from CDPR for the game, all of that was from a press release in another country, that got poorly translated to English, which the devs never explicitly said with their own words.
Second, this is my favorite game ever. The story is decent in the basic synopsis, but the way it's delivered is flawless. There are an immense amount of memorable characters that you will remember for years to come. The worldbuilding is amazing, with all the small stories all around giving details on numerous parts of the city and world. The architecture is phenomenal, with completely amazing buildings that are highly detailed, so you can see the grandiose and the grime of Night City. The vehicles you can drive are amazingly built in terms of design, so unique and different from anything you'd find in any other game. The gunplay and different ways to build your character and play the game are amazingly diverse and are more fun than any RPG I've played, ever (by the way, any hours I've played on any RPG on steam don't reflect any non-steam or old console days of playing). The side missions are fun little things to do, and I found myself chasing them, as I wanted to get out as MUCH as I could of this absolute gem of a game.
Now, all this being said, I had the game early on, and experienced my fair share of bugs. They used to be quite horrid, but with Edgerunners being out, and the patch that came with, the game is better than it's ever been. There are a bunch of lingering bugs, and unfortunately, it happens with mostly lower end machines, or for no reason at all, seemingly. The easiest way in most cases to resolve this is saving after doing anything meaningful, so you'll always be able to reload a previous save. The worst bug of all in my experience was being unable to play the game on the files where I've completed the game, as I could not shoot, hit, sprint, jump, or even enter my vehicle. If you reload the save right before meeting at Embers, you can get everything you wanted to get done done.
Despite any issues, it's a game that's made me reexamine my life and my views on life a bit, and it has something to offer to anyone who plays, if you can look past the bugs.
This is my first review of this magnitude, but a game as amazing as this really shouldn't be slept on, and those who want to complain about MINOR issues in the game should look below the surface level, and really take a look at the game as a whole.
