For my taste, it's the best entry in the King of Fighters series. Have it both for PS5 and now PC. No regrets!

Azur Lane..Crosswave.. well I do have mixed feeling about it.

First: Game is already for fans, cause it gives little to no explanation on whats happening. As I play Azur lane, I was fine, but I heard it's more based after the anime.
Second. This is a pretty good, but also small game. Besides having full VN going on, you have little to do, and even if Extreme battles are pretty fun, story mode is pretty boring. (maybe cause I was using dlc weapons, 4 parts were a breeze) Also worth mentioning, I found main character (Shimakaze) very annoying, well, what's to expect from exclusive character. (She's not in main game) But the action on screen is quite nice

What I didn't like at all is such a small roster of KMS girls, if not for the Roon DLC all you have is Bismark, Eugene and Z23. And even then you only get Roon as a playable character, while Deutchl;and, Graf Spee and Zeppelin are support ships, that aren't playable. (KMS player here lol)

Do recommend this game on sale, especially if you are a Azur lane player already. But think I'd like a steam version of Azur lane more.

Anime souls? More or less.

So, another souls like game, only this time is anime inspired. Is it good, well that depends on your preferences, I personally found it somewhere between okay and good. Could this game be better? It sure could, but we have what we have.

Now first start with story. Kinda cliche anime story at first, but really gets you in and is pretty good and well presented. Probably best part of the game.

Visuals are pretty nice and vibrant, are quite nice, and do look good. Audio on the other hand is pretty weird, sure it does it's job in immersion, but in cutscenes, you hear dialogues through your left speaker when using 5.1 direct analog headset ( not virtual) and I found it really weird.

Customisation and enemy variety. Weapons are diverse, there is no cookie cutter weapon, every weapon has it's pros and cons. Armor or blood veil is a unique thing to the game, besides giving you 'devour' attack it does influence your core stats and affect your character directly. Overall system is pretty unique and is fun. Well enemies are pretty well made, not that many types but are pretty well made, with most basic enemies being 'mutated' humans, called Lost, which are Revenants (vampyres) like yourself only went berserk without blood, and blood beads.

And now the worst part of the game, and the reason why I can;t rate this game any higher. Combat. Yes, in a game where combat supposed to it's main aspect, it is it's weakest part. Only good thing about it is having a teammate which is rather neat, and you don't feel exploring the world solo. But as I said, combat... it lacks mm... let's say meatyness, you barely feel you hit anything, without using active skills, you cant even stagger enemies with heavyer weapons. And it's mash until foe dies with light ones. Parry even if looks very, very nice,is so poorly iterated, it really hurts.. (there are even vids on youtube on how bad it is)

Even if I find the game pretty good combat and frustration it comes with, really do lover the experience. I also read that the season pass is a joke, filled with bosses from God eater series, but as I like God eater, I have yet to see it for myself to judge be it bad or not.

So, yes, if anime is your thing, souls like games are your thing, and you're not frustrated easily do grab this game on sale.

EDF! EDF?? e...d...f.... ah, forget it...

Nowis this is a true EDF game? Hell no it's not. Mybe it looks EDF, but its not EDF. It's like Insect armaggedon, very similar products.
There are only 2 options either you love it or hate it for what it is. I loved some ideas, loved the more dark (western probably) approach, loved the Power armour desingns.. soldier customization, but that's about it.
Unlike EDF 5 some weapons are absolute garbage, some early weapons tend to do just fine in later stages of the game, while newer ones tend to suck.. I don't know how I also feel on added Monster hunter (item usage and vehicle call ins for every class for cash) , and Attack on titan spice.. probably Prowler is the strongest class in game (amazing mobility, and immense overdrive, with other stats being similar to trooper) And whatever they've done with Fencer is just beyond my comprehension. Like, sure Striker does it's job fine, but considering the drawbacks it gives it leaves only few weapons viable to this PA. Whose bright idea was to remove wake up after a knockdown, on a already slowest class, must've been a brain dead person. The further I went, the more I noticed that game lack any even a smallest thing resembing class balance.

I still kinda like this game, it is pretty ok, cause it's a fresh game for me. And there is a pretty ok story, which is cheesy, sure, but the narration is miles better than EDF 4.1 / 5. But the AI soldiers are just plain awful useless, who cant even kill a single ant.

It is what it is, and it's an okay game. Just buy it on sale. But if you want true EDF madness, just buy EDF 5, which is a more complete, insane and fully packed mind (and everything on screen) blowing experience.

Oh and one more thing. EDF5 supports 2k resolution, while Iron rain is fixes on 1080p.

It's a classic. Not as great as 1st game is but it works on Win 10 no problem, has a hefty resolution support, and visuals are quite decent even to this date. Disappointed in later Hack'n'slashes, try this one.

Mind you this is a fine, gorgeous and actually fun game. Visuals are gorgeous to look at, and music suits perfectly. It made me feel like a kid, when I first played Streets of rage games. All the nostalgia, the music and feel of the battle, boss fights are amazingly well done. Game has lots of unlockable modes and characters, which most are character cameos from earlier games, which is fine, but you know it would be great to have those characters in HD, not just in sprites, especially when some of them are making cameos like bosses (Shiva, Max) Damn I'd be willing to pay for DLC with additional character in HD. Be that bosses or old school characters. Just in HD please...
But I cannot recommend this game yet. Cause as this game is now, it's fun=frustration. I am speaking mostly about weird and unfair hitboxes, where you have to hit enemies pixel accurate and enemies can hit you no problem. And super armor is everywhere, grunts, bosses.. thats nonsense if you ask me. On top of that is already frustrating as hell, when you swing your attacks in the air, and the enemy just hits you back without moving an inc.. Fix this nonsense , and this game review will be instantly positive from my side.

Daemon X Machina, a mecha game for PC we've been waiting for. An Armored Core spiritual successor. !!

Now stop the fuss. It is not AC game, stop the over hype about it. Even if it's made by few of the same developers whop worked on AC games in the past, it has it's own shoes to fill. and it does it pretty well.

Story. Many bash this part, being the weakest. Well it is decent, if you ever watched military / mecha anime, you'll find nothing new or surprising here. Regular anime stuff, on where a rookie merc (not a high schooler at least) , gets involved in stuff and has to save the world. (just a FYI, before fanservice anime became mainstream, this was a way to go on Japan TV) Liked the voiced acting (EN). TBH voice actors gave characters more personality than the plot, bu oh well.

Visuals. Another heated topic. Whatever people say, but steady performance and style really make up for the minimalistic style. Don't like anime at all? Well, this is clearly not your game then, cause from shader effects, to anime bright colors this will put your eyes to the test. Personally I found it very pleasant.

Controls. Very responsive, great M+KB support. Personally sticked with Xbox Elite controller with added buttons. Forr SP and co op gamepad will suffice, if you plan on playing versus I suggest moving to m+kb,

Amazing soundtrack. That's it. Wanna feel real action, crank BGM to max. Music is really fitting, some song I even listen then and there. Really one of the strong parts.

Customisation, weapons, inventroy. Well there's a lot, but don't ever expect it to be AC lot. There are certainly items to grind, wapons to farm or craft, but I really hoped for more, and I hope if there's ever an DxM 2, it will delliver. Also a neat feature, when you upgrade your pilot, he slowly looses humanity, that's a pretty neat thing to implement.

Game modes. There's story missions, so called free missions, which you can take any time. In multiplayer lobby you can play boss battles, or go on a raid. Multiplayer missions can be played solo with AI teammates.

Gameplay. Of course, I almost forgot about mentioning it... And this is THE strongest aspect of the game. Fights feels tight and fast paced, your Arsenal feels like a true jp style mecha, fast, powerful. Wanna build an insanely mobile but squishy mech go ahead! Wanna build a tank loaded for the bear, go ahead! Every chasis is unique, has it's own pros and cons. But most wont hassle for the fine tuning and just go for the secret store ones.

So this is about it. In the end I was burned out of the game, even though I played plenty of coop at start and really put some time with this game at first. But then.. suddenly it became pretty boring, and I am not gonna lie, I completed it mostly for the curiosity and the story. Like it's supposed to be a loot shooter, but when this part fails, the driving force suddenly disappears. But that's for me. In the end Im gonna say that DAEMON X MACHINA is a solid good game. Not without it's flaws, but still it's a strong 7.5 even 8, if you have people to play coop with, cause coop, be it raid or boss battle are really fun. If you're on fence about buying it, just wait for a sale.

It's okay if you like tense thriller / horror type games. A blast to play with friends, but only okay to play solo. Unless you're an edgy party pooper, and want to play as a killer to hunt down others and make their day full of rainbows.
