Honestly a very fun roguelike

Played through the demo and have gotten a good chunk of the currently available meta-progression upgrades alongside beating the base game boss. Lots of room for skill and knowledge while also having fun builds, polished UI, and interesting and recognizable enemies.

Bugs are essentially non-existent. The closest thing I've seen to anything that maybe could be considered a bug is the squishy enemy bodies ragdolling and folding into themselves temporarily if you shotgun them in the face, which I honestly wouldnt even consider a bug. Game also plays like a well optimized full release game in terms of performance.

Gunplay and movement are also both good, easy to learn and hard to master, while also reacting heavily to your build and microbe design.

Would definitely recommend giving this one a try

This game is amazing! Very fun game to play alone, with friends, or with randoms in matchmaking. The missions are fun, and the classes are fun and diverse, each with their own niche that help and synergize in different ways for each mission. Each class also has it's own weapons, from gatling guns to shotguns to grenade launchers, all of which feel great to use.

The atmosphere of the entire game is great too. The game doesn't take itself overly serious and knows that it's there for people to have fun, and appeals to that. Pre-mission lobby gives you a place to have fun and relax, along with giving people who want to a cool place to explore. The missions get a bit more serious with things like swarms, special events, and randomly spawning big boss monsters, all on top of your objectives.

The progression is great too. The difficulty progression allows you to choose your hazard level, with higher hazard meaning a larger number of enemies, along with more high tier enemies. This lets new players ease in with low hazard while still providing a challenge at higher levels. Outside of the main mission, things like prestiege and perks feel great to level up and give noticeable bonuses to missions

The community is pretty good from what I've seen too, although I've mostly played with friends in call the times I've played with randoms in matchmaking I've never had a bad experience with toxicity. All in all no complaints about the community -- Just dont forget to give everyone a Rock and Stone!

I believe this game is 100% worthwhile if you like exploring, working as a team, or enjoy a game with a nice challenge. This is also a great game to play with friends (Keep in mind the max players in a group is 4), so if you're looking for something like that this is a game to consider. All in all would recommend.


EDIT: After nearly 400 hours I have to say the game, community, and devs are all great. Whether this is on sale or off sale it's 100% worth the money.

Very enjoyable game to sit back and play when you have a lot of friends to play with. The combat is very fun, flying the ship is well implemented and fun, and the class abilities can be very fun to use. All in all I would recommend this game to anybody with a good group of friends to play it with.

The ship vs ship combat is very fun. With 3 classes to choose from, gunner, engineer, and pilot. Each class has role specific abilities and are generally pretty easy to pick up and fun to play. The different focuses of the different classes makes each one unique to play.
While the gunner is trying to use special ammo to wipe enemy ships out of the sky before they wipe you, the engineers has to try and keep up with the ship damage, running around to repair damaged parts and buff them to keep ahead of problems. The pilot maneuvers the ship into optimal firing positions, helps direct overall what needs to be done. Things such as what to focus on repairing first, what ships to focus fire on, and where to move the ship. Combat is intense and fun for all classes and working together with your friends to keep your ship going and destroy the enemy is extremely enjoyable.

HOWEVER if you do not have a group of friends to play this with, then I would absolutely not recommend buying this game. The online servers are very close to completely dead and getting a full lobby can sometimes be near impossible. There are AI's that will take the place of players on your ship to keep stuff running despite not having enough players and while they are pretty good the most fun part of the game is communicating with your ship and basking in the chaotic steampunk airship battling fun.

Overall I would definitely recommend this game if you and your friends want a fun and intense game to play together. This game is perfect for large groups as you can have up to 16 players in a lobby. For those that want to just buy the game for themselves, I would recommend against it. The playerbase is very small and while the AI isn't terrible, playing this game with a group of friends is where this game shines.

After 4000 hours of running this game I have to say I'm still enjoying it almost as much as when I first downloaded it. As of yet I haven't run out of new things to do and I'm still unlocking new game mechanics (Although some stuff I've been pretty slow on starting). Overall pretty good game that I recommend trying out if you're a fan of idle games.

Edit: 250 days of playtime later am at 10k hours now and still enjoying the game, very nice.
