It's unfortunate that this game was cut short story-wise, it has solid yet fun stealth mechanics or you can go loud and bash your way into enemy outposts and bases, your choice.

Still beautiful for a 2015 game thanks to the Fox Engine and the soundtrack reflects the year 1984 as well as containing some songs from the previous games of the franchise (MGS 1, Peace Walker, Snake Eater).

I had my fun completing it to 100%, even though I technically still have things to do ingame.

Now, all that's left for me is to play the second and fourth games of the series and go full circle!

Black Mesa, originally a mod published back in September 2012, is a remake of the first Half-Life game published way back in 1998.

After 5 years of Early Access, the game was fully released in 2020. It makes use of the Source 1 Engine which is the one Portal and Half-Life 2 and episodes are based on.

To summarize the game, it's Half-Life 1 with better graphics, a story which follows the original while adding some lore-related content and it adds longer chapters on Xen.

The chapters on Xen are truly what makes this game worth a shot, new puzzles, whole new areas and revisited boss fights.

So, if you like the first Half-Life or you'd like to discover it but the original game doesn't suit you, give it a try!

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 15 hours if you follow a guide, add ten more hours without, remember the little gnome in Half-Life 2: Episode Two? Triple the fun in this one.

Sheltered is a survival game in a post-apocalyptic setup. You play as a family who took refuge in a shelter.

Your goal is to survive as long as possible while enhancing your shelter and going outside in order to scavenge precious resources such as food or materials.

As time goes on, you'll be able to go farther and farther to get rarer loots and to basically have an autonomous shelter with loads of food.

Overall I liked the game, I played an early version on a friend's computer so it was like a return to the roots for me with some welcomed new features to discover.

Though it's quite repetitive once you get to mid-game / late-game stuff, might give a try to the scenarios one day.

For achievements hunters

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 15 hours, this game is heavily RNG based for the looting system but it's manageable, the game gives you useful hints so you know what to do.

It gives you the nostalgic vibes of when you were playing on the arcade machine and spent all of your pocket money.

I'll get this short, this was one of the best racing simulations I've played so far.

Now it's not available for sale anymore due to licensing issues, such a bummer.

However you'll have one unobtainable achievement because they stopped creating community events.

This is a demo for the upcoming Gothic 1 Remake.

The game was laggy for me, either on lowest or max settings, the game ran in the high 30s, which is playable but not optimal.

I encountered some bugs which resolved themself when I reloaded a save or restarted the game.
For example, the prompt telling you to press the button to climb an obstacle stopped showing, making me unable to go to high places.

The combat system feels weird and it needs some tuning but it seems promising nonetheless.

Despite my review marked as not recommended, I'm actually curious to see the final product.
It's such a miss to deliver a buggy and unoptimized demo for people to try out.

Batman Arkham Knight is the final episode and the conclusion of the Arkham series.

It takes place 6 months after the events of Arkham City, everything became peaceful in Gotham City but there's a catch.
Scarecrow used its toxine to bring chaos into Gotham City, panicked, everyone left the city.
Everyone? No, the vilains stayed.
Batman doesn't like that and will have to retake the city, his city.

The gameplay, atmosphere, story, music, everything has been carefully worked on the bring the conclusion this game series deserved.

It's a masterpiece.

For achievements hunters

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 80 hours, you'll need to commplete every mission in story mode + New Game+ and complete AR challenges with some requirements described in the related achievements description.
And you'll need the Season Pass to be able to complete additional AR challenges and side stories.

A roguelite with procedurally generated levels in 6 main stages.
Complete missions in each level to get to the next one, and don't forget about each character Big Quest to earn some nice rewards.
Up to 4 players can play at the same time to either spread chaos or peace to the city.
High replayability, never feel bored because it's always the same levels nor missions, random events will always get you off guard.

For achievements hunters

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 20 hours, you can use mutators to make your life easier.

This is a complete remake of the original 1999 named Outcast. I haven't played the original, yet I surprisingly liked this one.
It has a 90s vibe which reminded me of old games I played on Windows 95 and XP later on, especially the animations and dialogue during the cutscenes.

The game has options which can simplify your gameplay such as Health Regeneration or Higher Resistance, you can disable them if you wish to have a hard time.

I read there were some game breaking bugs, yet I didn't experience any, guess the game was patched.
However, the side quests need to be done in order or else you can't complete them.

Overall, a nice little game which won't take you too long to complete and you'll have some fun.

For achievements hunters

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 12 hours if you focus on doing side quests in the correct order during your first playthrough (otherwise you migh get stuck at 95%).

Neodash is a racing game in the style of Trackmania plus drifting to achieve super fast speed.

Go as fast as you can through the levels and be careful of the wall of death coming right behind you.

The soundtrack is composed of electro/drum n bass musics, some are from Monstercat (which you can disable in the options, cool for content creators).

The game also comes with a level editor, create your levels and share them with the community who will be able to play and review it.

It's highly recommended to play with a controller.

Note for linux: the game runs very well, all maxed out settings. It's based off the Unreal Engine 5.

For achievements hunters

Completion time estimated to a minimum of 10 to 12 hours depending of how well you can master the game mechanics.
