A well-made JRPG, one for the books. I liked the overdrive mechanic of the game, it made battles not tedious since I was almost always focused on the overdrive bar which was a good thing for me, it adds some new challenge to the fights.
Art style looks like stardew valley which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's mild and not overwhelming.
The game has some Suikoden II elements to it (which if you still don't know by now, is one of the best JRPGs ever created). Elements like building your own castle and recruiting characters. But not made entirely the same and done in its own style.

But the BEST part: The story and the characters! It's not your ordinary generic hero story. Good and evil is not black and white but very nuanced and the dilemma and decisions made are heavily influenced by the various reasoning and plight of everyone, that totally makes sense for the someone who'd be in the characters' shoes. Oh and the plot twists! Perfectly written, it's not a plot twist for plot twist sake or just to F you up but it smoothly pushed the plot in an interesting and sensible manner.
The characters are memorable, everyone had their own character development, their own stories that didn't seem to follow a formula you'd usually see in these types of stories or games. And that made them fresh and worth getting invested in. In short a 9.5/10 for me. Loved the game, I know other people who grew up playing JRPGs would also love this. Thanks for the game!

Only a few hours in and everything I've seen so far is nice.
Premise is fresh to me
Battle system is fun. Turn-based but also has a real time mechanic. Skill progression is promising too.
Good story telling so far, I'm emotionally invested in the characters and their plight already.

The whole thing is just inspired.
For final fantasy, squaresoft, JRPG lovers, this is a love letter.

If you're looking for that classic tactics game, this one scratches that itch plus more.

Don't forget to save specially before every consensus you must make.

This is my first souls-like game and the game is hard specially at the beginning, but once you get the hang of parry-ing, fighting bosses becomes fun and satisfying. Some are just scary but just diving in is the way to go!

It's more Hades, which is a good thing. Although it doesn't lure me in to keep playing like the first title did, maybe it's because it's still in early access. Still good, just lacks something for me, for now.

Hades has been my unexpectedly most favored game to date. The gameplay, the art style, the Greek mythology, the story, the dialogue, the MUSIC! I love everything about it and Hades 2 is just more of that, more content and I'm here for it. The ONLY thing though, as much as I love the dialogue, this time around it felt excessive, and got exhausting mid way through, but maybe that's just me. All in all, props to the devs who made these 2 titles. The game just made me fall in love with gaming once again and brought back nostalgic feelings even if the game is new and the genre was unfamiliar to me. So these two titles will forever be close to my heart. Thank you!

Haven't enjoyed a game like I have Hades in a long time. Very enjoyable; just made me happy.
