This game is basically the ultimate friendship test. If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to try and steer a clunky RV through the woods while your friends scream about bears and chain-smoke for speed boosts, this is it.

Why I loved it:

Pure chaos: You actually have to work together. If you don't communicate, you are definitely driving straight off a cliff.

The driving is legit: Managing the clutch and gears while your buddies are outside trying to winch the RV over a sketchy wooden bridge is stressful in the best way.

Hilariously janky: Yeah, the physics bug out sometimes, but watching our camper randomly kickflip into a canyon was the hardest I've laughed in months.

It isn't perfectly polished, but it honestly doesn't need to be. Grab some friends and get ready to yell at each other. 10/10 would crash the camper again.

Is this another streamer hype game? Yes. Is it actually fun? Sort of, and a majority of that will depend whose playing. The game has some appeal with some real gameplay and challenges, once players can look over the obvious memes associated with the game.

RV There Yet is a game where up to four players are challenged with driving an RV safely from point A to point B, while surviving. Although the game's premise seems quite simple, casual, and fun, it is a lot more challenging than anticipated. Driving is simple and straight forward which requires the use of moving a clutch (mandatory). It certainly feels like and drives like an RV. Further into the gameplay, as the player drives through the terrain they will come across sometimes unique or general obstacles. Bridges made out of two wood planks, dealing with a random bear attacks, and terrain difficulties make for some decent fun. The bears are probably the most annoying to deal with because everything on the RV is essentially loose, meaning that items can go flying if the RV takes a lot of damage. The player can secure items, but again, if that damn bear decides that the RV is a pic-a-nic basket parts of the RV get ripped off and there goes what is needed, hopefully not down a cliff. The gameplay is relatively engaging, especially with the right crowd, but goodness does the game get difficult in some scenarios very fast. 

The graphics and visuals are okay and suit the games silliness and environment. Players are allowed to hack darts (or smoke) which oddly gives the character a speed boost. As the RV takes damage pieces of it fall off and visually signal potential problems for the player. The frame itself doesn't take damage, but the outer shell / body of the vehicle does. The environment doesn't quite take damage or move when the player collides with it. There are loose objects such as planks and other items that will have some interaction with the player. None of this gets in the way of gameplay, but it could've added a little more "umph" or nice effects into the game. The sounds and music were decently done. All the basic sounds are there helping signify that some sort of action occurred. A little more could've been done with the bear or adjusting certain music at certain points (such as coming up to the first plank bridge) to add extra suspense. All in all, the necessities are all there in these domains. 

Overall, the game is okay. It's got a neat premise and concept, though I do wish it was a little easier to start out (and that a bear wouldn't appear very close to starting out). The physics and the game itself are quite funny and provide lots of laughter, especially if there is a close friends group playing. The biggest draw back is the ability to find online multiplayer games (or matchmaking) as the game relies on players to have people to play with. Remote play is possible but some friends have found it difficult to maintain a solid connection. I will recommend the game but seriously suggest to those to do their research before purchasing. The challenges are fun, chilling in the RV while someone drives believe it or not can start some fun conversations, and the world is interesting to explore and find new items. The routine can get boring and the lack of checkpoints can certainly turn off some players. Again though, seems like the point was to be difficult.
