You need this game just as much as I need this game. Haven’t beaten the game yet but after playing a few hours I decided to just get the whole yakuza collection. I give this game 11 Kiryu’s out of 10

Risk of Rain 2 has a bug that has yet to be fixed. I have a Ryzen 7 gpu and a 1660ti and I can run this game on highest settings at a constant 60 fps no matter how much is going on in the game. But Gaben forbid that I pick up an item... as soon as I pick up an item my pc seems to have an aneurysm for a solid second. Now you may be thinking "But, Booty Gang Disciple, it's just ONE second. How bad can it be?" Well let me tell you, this game consists of picking up items somewhat regularly, I also think that my pc has a new form of aneurysm which happens to be contagious, so now when my pc has a one second aneurysm, I too now also have a one second aneurysm. I just hope that a fix for this issue is found, overall the game is fun if you like rogue-like games. Unfortunately I ended up refunding the game because I got tired of having aneurysms.

Sooooooooo, ofc I do love the game and it is great, but since the 1.4 update I have been unable to play the game even on low settings. I have a ryzen 7 and a gtx 1660 ti w 16 gb of ram and get lag every 5-10 seconds and sometimes experience crashing. I would like to enjoy the update to the fullest but I can't even go through boss fights without lagging and that lag 9 times out of 10 will cause me to die. If you have a pc that is better than mine then you should (hopefully) not run into any issues and should enjoy the game, but if you have a lesser setup than I do then I suggest you wait until they recognize the issue and fix it. I am highly disappointed w this experience (the lag) and I really do wish I could enjoy the game as a lag free experience as it is meant to be played.

So, before I start on the review I just want to say that I do enjoy the game and it is fun ofc, but the review I am going to write is mainly about the services rockstar provides its player base. So I have had 2 accounts for online, the first one I made was what i poured most of my hours into. This first account was completely legit and I was very happy w all my progress on the account and it was honestly what kept me coming back to the game. This is where the issues began, first off the game is infested w power hungry modders that have the ability to freeze your computer and force close the game at the push of a button. I would suggest not getting into arguments w anyone online bc there is about a 50% chance that they are a modder and they will just boot you from the game bc that is how they deal w their problems. The fact that the game is currently free on epic games has also indirectly further promoted the use of mods and modders are more abundant than ever. Going back to the story though... So my main account was griefed by a modder, as they can change almost any variable in the game and due to this I was banned do to modder griefing. I explained this to rockstar customer support and was advised that they could not do anything due to the fact that once an account is suspended, they cannot retrieve it due to it being deleted by the system (which is a bunch of bs). The complete lack of assistance from the customer support is pathetic and is unexpected from a multimillion dollar company. After this happened I was suspended from playing the game for 2 weeks and did not even get the suspension lifted, even though I was innocent and sent images of the modder griefing me in the server. After all this happened I took a good long break from the game, as I was fairly frustrated w everything that went down. Now come 2020 I got a new laptop and my friends started to play the game once again so I decided to give it a shot again. Coincidentally the game became free on epic games at the same time and Rockstar once again manages to disappoint me. You'd think that a company like rockstar understands the popularity of the game and that making it free would come w a huge influx of new players eager to play the game... but no. instead they just keep it as is and keep the same amount of servers and about 50% of the time you can't get into the game. And guess what? Even after experiencing this multiple times for the past week or so they still fail to make any efforts to add more servers or anything like that. So once again I just want to state that the game itself is great fun and especially so when playing w friends, but rockstar as a company is pathetic and shows no care at all for their player base. Rockstar itself is more concerned w finding the people who use money hacks on their game instead of actually banning the modders who are making the game less fun as well, this is because they don't want people getting free money, that's why they charge you $100.00 usd for 8mil in the game, it's for their own financial gain. As a company they excel at disappointment and procrastination, and if you run into any problems in game I strongly suggest that you ask another player for help or look up your issues online, because the player base it WAY more helpful than the actual support services that rockstar provides which is very sad to say. On top of that you have to wait 48 hours on their website to receive a response (which is the max estimated time) and they literally wait till the last minute to respond to you because they really don't want to do their job. If you run into any launch issues w the game, (no matter how simple the solution may be) they will just take up to 48 hours just to tell you to reinstall the game. Like I said, if you run into any issues just look up your problem you are having online or ask another player for assistance. If anyone does have any issues w the game and cannot find an answer, feel free to msg me on steam and I promise you that I will respond to you faster than Rockstar has ever responded to any of their players. Great game, best when played with friends. Only reason to buy is to see naked people smash you with rocks.
