Quite frankly, the best video game ever made. Pretty much everything I enjoy about video games combined into one game.

Put 130 hours into this game on PS5 and it's one of the most amazing games I have ever played in my entire life. Yes, the game is not without any issues, but as Skill Up said it in one of his videos, when talking about Rebirth and finally naming it his personal GOTY, "Greatness isn't defined by the absence of flaws. It's defined by the things that make it great". That quote has resonated strongly with me as I look back on my time with this game. And Rebirth has so many things that are amazing about it that it's easy to look past its flaws. It would even be petty to focus on its flaws when considering how many things it absolutely nails.

Combat is absolutely superb and probably now my favorite action combat ever. The way it blends real time combos with pausing the game for a more tactical assessment of the battle is just brilliant. The story is an emotional rollercoaster, filled with memorable, sad AND absolutely funny moments as well. I couldn't have hoped for a better recreation of one of my most treasured childhood games.

I will glaze this game for as long as I will live because it deserves it.
