This is a textbook definition of a hidden gem. If you look past rather ugly graphics, you’ll find incredibly complex game when you truly can do whatever you want (after you survive a few first hours, that is). Be a bounty hunter? Sure. Robber in the wildlands or a thief in some town? You got it. Start a new faction and slowly exterminate all deemed unworthy? Buckle up, there's gonna be blood.

This world is really your oyster and it’s up to you and only you if you’ll manage to tame it.
Don’t rush into building your own base. Or do it, what do I know? My base was raided by an army of crab handlers. They took me prisoner and made me a slave. Killed all my companions. But I escaped to a city in another region. Every other night I break into shops and steal what I can, then take it to a fencer. Now I have a house I bought and restored. Inside my few trusted minions are training hard while I sneak past guards and mercs to get food, weapons and materials. And soon I’ll return to my old base, but this time… I’ll be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ready.

Pros:
+ unique setting (seriously, give it a chance and don't take it too seriously)
+ living world with factions and changing landscape
+ interesting side stories and characters
+ truly sandbox experience - go whenever you want, do whatever you want and face the consequences
+combat system
+extreamly moddable
+meme value
+approved by some African dictators

Cons:
- unique setting (for some)
- ugly as f*ck and still lacks some final polish, feels still like early access
- limited AI which can be outsmarted easily once you'll understand how it works (that's a price you're paying for sandbox though)
- weak world economy (shops are restocked every time even after being robbed)
- hard to master
- quite RNG heavy (especially with stealing mechanic)
- no co-op
- won't be expanded by the developer anymore
