I can safely say they've alleviated a majority of my gripes about the game. The dashes and dash cancels feel MUCH better, especially with swift runner. Charging ends up not being the worst thing in the world, as long as you know which charge attack is actually worth using in your kit (likely your cast). Health still seems a little high, but now that the movement feels way better everything else becomes much less of a problem.

Love the idea of mana, but the way it's implemented just sucks the fun out of the game for me.

Game overall is slower, you can't dash cancel as much anymore, enemy health pools are inflated, and the only way to use mana is to constantly charge attacks.
The charge attacks are my biggest gripe. They are a significant part of your kit so you're spending a lot of rooms just charging over and over. You have ideas like the blades' charge attack being a teleport slash which SHOULD feel fast, but in reality be an absolute slog to use because I'm spending so much of my time doing nothing but holding a button down, but if I don't I'm losing out on half my kit and a bunch of potential boons.

I've never been impressed by turn-based rpgs, but this one really takes the cake. Incredible depth in its systems, which the game demands you to master in order to succeed. And despite being tough as nails, the game never feels like you have to grind in order to overcome an encounter, even against the insanely difficult final boss. All you need is to consider every option you're given to find the winning strategy.

Danmaku mode is the worst thing I've ever played.

The best parts of Doom Eternal and the Borderlands series all in a rogue-lite package, with breakneck movement, a satisfying weapon catalog, and insane build synergies.
If you like running fast and shooting faster, all while firing off quintuple rocket spreads or energy blade waves, then give this game a shot.
